Letter 16

Dear Yoongi,

I sat with you at lunch again today. I brought the same flavor of chips and this time I had cut my sandwich in half and offered one slice of it to you.

Your mouth fell open and you held your hands up in front of you, insisting that the chips were enough for you. I took the opportunity to rip a small bit of the sandwich off and shove it in your mouth.

You glared at me but chewed it and swallowed.

"I can feed myself ya'know." Is what you said back to me. I simply chuckled and handed you the rest of your half of the sandwich.

"Then do it." I heard you softly mutter profanities at me but I didn't care. You eating and being healthy is more important to me than you being annoyed at me.

Soon enough Namjoon and Jin showed up and sat across from us. Jin looked down at my half cut sandwich and the bag of my favorite chips sitting in front of you. He smiled at me and nodded, as if proud of me.

But I understand why. I am proud of me too.

I finally talked to you Yoongi. Plus, today wasn't as nerve racking as yesterday.

We are taking baby steps towards us and I wouldn't have it any other way.
