*Erin's POV*

I bolted away from Justin as fast as my legs would carry me.

I don't even know where I'm going.

I can't leave the woods, but there's nowhere for me to go.

I'm going to die.

I just know that Justin is tracking me down at this very moment.

His drive for blood is relentless because of the moon.

All I need is somewhere safe to stay until dawn, when the sun comes out.

And unfortunately, that "somewhere" doesn't exist.

So I just ran.

My legs kept going, moving faster and faster, until I was lost.

This side of the woods is extremely unfamiliar to me.

Trees loomed overhead, and the more I gazed up at them, the taller they seemed to get.

A huge rock up ahead arched over the ground, creating a small but useful space.

This is where I can stay tonight.

I started to make my way over to the cave, but the crunching of leaves behind me made me freeze.

"Don't let it be him," I prayed in my mind.

"Please."

Sure enough, when I turned around, Justin stood there, giving me an evil smirk that displayed his elongated fangs.

It was almost as if he knew what he was doing...

He crept towards me, maintaining the smirk on his face.

"Your blood is mine," he snarled, and laughed wickedly.

I blinked and immediately, he was standing directly in front of me.

Curse his inhuman speed.

I backed away from him, stumbling over several sticks and rocks as I traveled backwards.

"You can't escape me," he cackled, once again appearing in front of me.

He placed his hands on my body, tightly grasping my limbs.

I was beyond horrified to discover that his nails had become dagger sharp claws.

"This isn't the real you Justin," I spoke slowly.

"Snap out of it."

"Of course this is me," he growled.

"And I've never been better."

Every second that he stared me down with those terrifying lavender eyes, the clearer it became that Justin was no longer standing in front of me.

A monster had taken his place.

In a quick second, he lunged for my neck, and I prepared myself for a painful death.

Instead, Justin let me go and released a fierce moan.

His eyes swirled and mixed between their usual color cinnamon hazel, their angry shade of fiery red, and last but not least, their lustful and hypnotic lavender color.

He's fighting against the moon's power.

"Go..." He murmured, staggering backwards.

He fell to the ground, and I badly wanted to help him, but I knew that if I did, I was only putting my life in more danger.

So I fled once again.

The fact that I'm running away from a friend in need hurt me greatly.

But I knew that Justin wouldn't have wanted me to help him if it meant that I would comprise my own safety and get hurt.

And since he's now in the place that I was about to call safe, I have to find a new safe haven.

Just when I thought that I had found the perfect place...

*Justin's POV*

"Get out of my mind!" I thought angrily to myself, fighting the immense urge I had to hunt Erin down and bite her.

"This is the real you Justin," the moon's voice sounded throughout my thoughts.

"Embrace it."

"I would never welcome this! The true me isn't a savage beast!" I countered.

"I'm going to show you just how wrong you are," the moon's voice hissed.

A sharp pain stung my body and I fell to the ground.

It felt like I'd been stabbed multiple times all over my body.

I shivered in agony.

"Y-you'll ne-ever win..." I stuttered aloud.

"This is all for your own good," the voice whispered.

"You'll thank me."

I could feel its grasp controlling me.

My eyes changed to their dangerous lavender hue, my nails lengthened into sharp claws, and the only emotions I could feel were lust and rage.

Automatically, my senses began to track down the biggest source of blood that was closest to me.

That source being Erin.
-
I sprinted through the forest uncontrollably.

No matter how hard I tried to hold myself back, the full moon's power grew stronger and more intense.

Resisting its effects was like trying to change the weather.

I could tell that I was getting closer to Erin, because the scent of her blood became exceedingly strong while I ran.

A few minutes later, I had found her.

She looked scared, but I was unable to feel remorse for her.

All of my emotions besides extreme rage were overwhelmed by the desire to rip her flesh open and drink her blood.

I hid in a bush, planning a way to ambush her while simultaneously trying to fight the instincts that wanted to harm her.

But of course, the moon was too powerful.

And so while Erin sat on a rock with her head buried between her knees, I crept through the bushes, ready to pounce on her.

That's the end of Part 10 :)
