*Erin's POV*

My legs kept running from the woods, not stopping until they tired out.

I collapsed on the ground.

Did I imagine everything that just happened?

Or did I really meet a vampire that lives in the woods behind my school?

There's no way this is real.

It has to be some sort of weird and messed up dream.

Vampires don't exist.

But if this is a dream, then why can't I wake up?
-
I snuck into my house from the back door, quietly closing it.

It's almost ten o'clock at night, and my parents will wonder what I'm doing home instead of at Piper's house.

Silently, I tip-toed upstairs to my room.

I quietly closed my bedroom door, and paced around my room thoughtfully.

I need some serious time to think.

How is it possible that a vampire has been living in our woods?

And how am I the first person that isn't oblivious to him?

After a while, my thoughts overloaded me, and I became tired.

I threw myself onto my bed and took a well deserved rest.

I had another dream tonight.

I was in the woods once again, and the vampire I met was there too.

Strangely, he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind and embraced me.

"I love you," He whispered lovingly.

I smiled, but it quickly disappeared from my face and turned into a shriek of alarm as I felt two sharp fangs piercing into my neck.

I fell to the ground, my vision blurry.

The last thing I heard was the vampire sobbing, saying "I'm so sorry..."

Everything went black before I woke up.

Did I die in my dream?

I jumped from bed.

Suddenly, sleep didn't seem as comforting as it had last night.
-
Later on that day, I decided to visit the vampire again.

I'm interested in learning more about him.

I pushed a tree branch from my face, and stepped into the clearing.

This is where he lives, right?

The old house came into view.

There was no sign of him on the porch.

That makes sense, it's a really sunny day outside.

I'm a little afraid to go into his house.

What if it's all creepy with skeletons and dead animals everywhere?

"Oh, stop being so paranoid Erin," I thought.

"Just go inside the house."

So slowly, and carefully, I walked up to the front door of the old house.

I knocked lightly on it.

"Hello?" I called out.

No answer.

I tried the handle, and to my luck, it was unlocked.

I twisted the doorknob and let myself in.

I made sure to close the front door so no sunlight got inside.
