"Norah?"

I sat up immediately. "Oh shit, did I wake you up?"

"No," he grumbled, voice raspy on the other end, "maybe. Yes. I ignored my alarm."

"You ignored your alarm?"

Harry let out a huffy breath of annoyance. "Why are you even awake?"

"Well," I mumbled, "I thought that you would be awake, and then, like, I wanted to catch you before you got really busy at work, because then my call might annoy you. And then you might come to my office like you said you would. Aaaand I feel bad now because you were sleeping."

"I wouldn't actually come to your office, Norah."

I rolled my eyes. "Oh right, right. Not like I had any reason to think that you actually would do that. None at all."

"I would have."

"Exactly. Do you want to maybe grab lunch or something? If you can? Or breakfast? Like, whatever works for you. My schedule is more flexible. Yeah?"

Harry laughed, low and raspy, and bed sheets ruffled in the background. "You won't spend the night, but you'll call me at seven in the morning and suggest we go to breakfast?"

I scowled down at the phone. "Gotta keep you on your toes, Mr. Styles."

"You've never really been coy, Norah," he mumbled, and I could practically hear that cocky smirk in his voice. "Don't try and start now. We will have lunch, if you can possibly manage to wait that long without me."

"You're the one that was practically a fucking koala last n —"

"Norah," he warned.

"Fine," I said, finally managing to stumble out of the bed. I kept the phone pressed between my ear and my shoulder as I searched through my over-stuffed closet for something that I deemed to be worthy on the arm of a Versace suit. "What time?"

"I have a meeting at eleven, and then another starting at one. Which means I will have an hour in between the two," He sighed. "I won't have time to go out. I can send James to get you and you can pick up takeout on the way here. If that works."

My eyes landed on a maroon dress shoved into the back of closet that I had stolen from work a few months ago. "Perfect. We're getting sushi, by the way. Don't try and fight me on this."

"I wasn't planning on it, babe. See you at twelve. Wear your hair up."

"I'm rolling my eyes at you right now. See you then, Mr. Styles."

"One more time, Norah, and I swear —"

"Have a good day at work!" I cheered, and I promptly hung up, smile on my face so wide that I was afraid my face might snap. It took the entire breakfast and at least four annoying reminders from Louis about his birthday before it managed to fade even in the slightest.

By lunch time, after reading the same 10 pages for the past three hours and never processing one of them, I was on the verge of losing it. And it didn't really help that I actually had something to look forward to, which made the time on the clock seem to tick by even slower than normal.

I had practically tackled James into a hug when I'd finally managed to escapee the confines of the Vogue office. As promised, the driver took me to pick up lunch before dropping me off at the entrance of Styles Enterprise a few blocks away, where I immediately headed inside to the elevator.
