Loren made a pot of gook-fa tea
Which AJ sipped quite happily
"It's time someone took care of you."
Loren knew just what to do.
He had rode through the night
He'd been in a fight
While he slept she'd make him
A proper dim sum
and do it up right
AJ searched his memory
He could not remember
The last time he woke
to such pleasantries
of the smells of his homeland
Made by such lovely hands.
Loren decided to dress the part
Borrowing clothes from Gyn
"Would you like some wu-long tea?
Tea is always best to begin."
AJ nodded with a grin
As she poured from the pot
He took a sip of the tea
It surely hit the spot
He could not believe
With the help of Gyn
Loren made Lanzhou Lamian
The slurp-worthy noodles
Cover with broth and some parsley
Had AJ feeling quite carefree
She place before him
Hainanese Chicken and Rice
With ginger-scallion dipping sauce
To add a little spice
Then came the Cha Siu Boa
The steamed, sweet bun,
Stuffed with barbecue pork
And then Beef Chow Fun
"For Luck," she said
handing him a dish
Lo Bak Go
She poured him more tea
Keeping a constant flow
She made him something
Sweet to eat
She'd made him Dan Tat
As a treat
"This is wonderful, Loren.
But you forgot one thing."
He could tell by her expression
She began worrying
Until AJ stood and pulled out a chair
"A dim sum is only a dim sum
When you can share."
All she could do is smile and stare.
She felt so grateful
as he pushed in her chair
She took a moment
to Thank God, in prayer.
