Finally Home
As the town loomed on the horizon,
The horses were pushed for a final run.
They took a long and bloody road,
Everyone just yearned for home.
3Gun knew what AJ needed,
It was more than the doc's meds.
"Go to her, AJ, she's in there with Gyn,
While you were gone, we could hear her heart breakin'."
AJ embraced 3Gun in thanks,
Mo joined in, unable to resist.
AJ was about to grab Billy, but Billy said no,
Made his way instead to the saloon.
AJ took his leave from 3Gun and Mo,
Ran to the cafe, stumbled through the doors.
Soon enough, a pair of hands helped him sit,
He looked up and saw the face that he missed.
AJ couldn't speak as he saw Loren's face,
Seeing her again left him in a daze.
As he saw a tear drop from her sad eyes,
He touched her cheek to wipe them dry.
AJ took Loren into a tight embrace,
Kissed her gently and whispered to her ears,
"Its over now, Loren, Carson's gone,
Its safe now, I'm finally home."
