Gale and I dump our trays and I follow him down hall ways an up stair cases. We finally reached a door labeled "outside use with caution". I take off my lab coat and place it on a step. Gale opens the door and a whole forest is waiting for us.
For me.
I run out past Gale and I look up at the sky and close my eyes and take it all in.
The birds.
The sunshine.
The smell.
The sunshine.
The everything.
Turn to Gale and run over and embrace him. He catches me lifting only my feet off the ground like they do in fairy tales. "Thank you" I whisper. "You're welcome" he says with a smile on his face. He lets me down and he leads me to a stream. "This is beautiful" I say as we reach it. The water flows down a long area of wood then drops off and steep cliff making the most wonderful sound.
"I come here almost every day" Gale says.
"Lucky you" I say looking back at him with a smile.
"Prim we should get going"
I turn to face him.
"Oh okay"
"The workers come up here soon"
I nod at him then walk back to the door. Before I open it everything goes black, and I fall to the ground.
