91: Unfolds

The house is busy preparing for the coming of my Dad. Papa, Mama and Kuya even left with absence from their works just to welcome my biological dad with his wife and son. I got too ecxited to see them again that is why I took this day as my rest day. Besides this week is a Christmas week already.

The menus for dinner are mixed  American and Filipino cuisines. Tofer really loved the ginisang baboy at tinolang manok kaya pinaluto ko iyon sa cook namin.

My phone rang and the caller ID says it’s Reniel that is calling kaya agad ko itong sinagot.

“I miss you..”

I smile at what he said firstly as I answered his call.

“I’m missing you too.”

I invited him over the dinner but he refused for the reason that it should be the family first. Well, I consider him as a part of the family already but he really insisting that he won’t come. I got his point kaya hindi ko na siya pinilit.

“So how’s the preparation?”

“Everything’s alright. It falls according to its plan.”

“Can I see you?”

Kaagad akong napa-upo mula sa pagkakahiga.

“Right now?”

“Uh-huh,” he mumbled.

“Where are you?”

“In front of your house.”

I immediately got off from my bed and wear my slippers. I dashed toward my windows and parted the tapestry to see if he really is. And I saw his car, parking in front of the house.

“Okay. Just wait. I’ll change.” I said and ended the call.

“Riel, family first.

“And so? He knows you naman eh.”

I teased.

He scratch the back of his head and smiled awkwardly. I know I got him! Dude, you’re bound to meet my father. Sooner or later.

“Well, that is one of my reason kung bakit hindi muna ngayon.”

I crack in laughters at his confession.

I know how he feels because I’m feeling it too. Longing for your significant other.

“What the heck he was doing here?”

I whipped my head to my side as soon as I entered the house when I heard him asked.

“Bray..” I called him in a warning tone. “Be mindful of the choice of your words.”

I just heard him hissed at my sermon.
