I tapped his shoulder to see if he would budge and he didn't. I looked at him as he stayed still.
I stood up fully now with confidence.
"Pssst." I whisper to him, he doesn't budge. I try one more time and he shifted in his seat nearly giving me a heart attack as I flew the opposite direction and hid. He only shifted and started to snore louder.
I sigh in relief and walk towards the window looking up at Ethan.
"I think I'm good. I can do this without Sarah, just in case I do get caught she won't be in it too. Now what color are you guy's bags?" I ask. He frowns with looks of concern.
"No. This was not the deal, get out of there. You could be arrested." He says. I shake my head.
"I've made it this far. Im quick, small, and quiet. I've got this!" I say. He sighs and looks around for a bit.
"How about this, open the back door for me and then we're good. The guys and I can get our stuff and you and Sarah can wait in the car." He says. I think about his plan and then I shake my head again.
"No! All you guys will make way too much noise and you'll end up waking up Sleepy Time Tea Bear over here!" I protest. Ethan groans.
"Fine, I'll do it alone." He says. I shake my head .
"Okay, now what?" He asks impatiently.
"What if you get caught?" I ask.
"Why would you care if I got caught?" He asks and I think. Why did I care?
"Ugh, because that means I'd get no food." I lie.
"....whatever. You can stay with me, just open the front door." He says. I sigh and nod in agreement.
I walk towards the door and sigh, I can see the alarm system, you have to put in a code to leave out. I turn around and run towards the window before Ethan walks away and I sigh.
"The door can't be opened. Not without a code." I say. Ethan throws his head back in frustration.
"Fine, just...be quick and quiet." He says. I nod and walk towards the back of the desk the security guard sits at. There I see 3 bags. I walk back over to the window.
"How many bags am I getting and what do they look like?" I ask.
"3 and they're black, and dark and light blue." Ethan says. I nod and walk back over to the desk, only to realize the Guard had switched up his position and his foot was propped on one of the bags.
Damn!
I was bold. Well at least I had to be.
I tickled his ear and ducked behind his chair.
He jumped and shifted in his seat. After a few seconds he began snoring again and I look down at his feet.
They were off the bags. I slowly grabbed each bag and placed two on my shoulders and held one with m hands. Yes!
I ran back to the window and Ethan stood there waiting. I threw up each bag one at a time and then looked around for a chair.
I saw one in the corner and grabbed it to climb on. I looked back and saw that the guard was still asleep.
I hoist myself up and hold onto Ethan's arms as he pulls me up. When I'm finally out I sigh and look back at the building.
"Can we get out of here?" I ask and Ethan nods.
Everyone follows as I sprint back to the almost empty mall parking lot.
Sarah and I go back to my car and Ethan follows. I
000a him the 'What ya doin?' look and he just looks at me.
"Don't you want the food?" I groan. Crap I forgot all about that.
"Can we do a rain check? I'm exhausted and my mom is probably worried sick!" I whine.
Sarah gives me a look and steps towards us.
"Speak for yourself I'm starving." she says.
"And you're also not tired from...I don't know' BREAKING AND ENTERING!" I say she rolls her eyes and gets in the car.
"So, rain check?" I ask. Ethan nods.
"Thanks, I like Italian food so be prepared." I say and step in my car. he chuckles and walks off.
As I'm driving down the street to my house I think....WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING?!?!
