Chapter 19

Lana's POV

We drove to the laser tag place in silence. My car had got there first so we had to wait for a little until everyone else got there.

"So guys.. are you ready for laser tag?" I asked trying to make conversation.

"Yeah also, are you ok Lana?" Alex asked.

"Yeah, I am fine."

"Well, you just seem a bit too happy. I mean you just found out that your mom is in a coma." I looked at him, and then tried to hide my face from letting them see my eyes watering up.

"Hey Lana it's going to be ok and you're allowed to be upset." Quinn put his arm around me.

"I won't just want to forget about what happened and believe that she is will be okay. Can we just forget about it and not talk about it so we can have a fun time before we have to go to school tomorrow?" No one said anything but I knew their answers already.

"Oh look the others are here let's go," I said and hopped out of the car. As I walked to the other's car I heard everyone else get out of the car.

Getting inside and paying was the boring part but it was quick which was good. There was barely anyone here.

"Okay I am going to turn on the vests whatever colors you have is the team you are on. There is a blue and red team." The worker said. I slipped my vest on and then the worker pressed a button on each of our vests. He presses mine and it was blue. m

The people on my team were Quinn, Grayson, Jake, Derek, Zack. Then on the other team were, Alex, Lucas, Blake, Jamie, Peter, and Ethan. We all looked at our teams.

"Oh yeah fuck you we have Lana!" Zack shouted excitedly.

"Oh man, we wanted Lana," Blake complained.

"Sorry, Blake." I laughed.

"Ok, guys you understand the rules. so you guys can start in 3.. 2-" He got interrupted by his walky-talky. "What?..... Yeah, we are about to start a round......I don't know I was just about to start like I was in the countdown.....oh yeah ok send them down......just tell them to hurry up....yeah ok. He said and turned to us. "So you have two more players don't worry they should be fast."

"I thought it was supposed to be with just us." I said confused. I looked around making sure no one was missing.

"Oh the people said they were part of your group" The worker said.

"Well we'll see who they are." I turned to the entrance as the door that was opening slightly. Then when it finally opened all the way I saw them.

"Justin? Jack?" I asked. They turned to me. Jack is also a crazy ex I am surprised they are together. Or know each other.

"Oh Lana I am so happy to see you." Justin said and hugged me. Then he whispered in my ear.

"Say anything, and you're dead." He said and pulled out of the hug. Then he smiled like nothing happened. Then Jack came over to me.

"What he said." He whispered as he hugged me. Then pulled out like nothing had happened. I turned to the worker and the rest of the guys with a fake smile.

"Oh I am Sorry guys I forgot I invited you. Don't worry they are with me." I said and looked at the worker. He nodded and gave Jack and Justin their vests. I turned to the guys and they were really confused. I looked them straight in the eyes, and gave them a look, a look that said. 'play along'.

"Ok so we are finally ready let's get this started. Also we are giving you guys an extra fifteen minutes because of the wait."

He turned on Justin and Jacks vests. I saw one turned Blue and the other red. I looked at the faces. Oh god Jack was on my team. I gave him a fake smiled. and so did he. Then I looked over at Alex's team. They were all giving Justin a death glare.

"Ok ready start in 3.... 2..... 1" He yelled, and everyone took off running into the dark room with neon lights everywhere.

I ran into the room and hid. I heard two people coming around the corner to I looked and immediately saw something collide with my head. I fell back holding my head and then everything started to get blurry. I saw two figures hovering above me and then everything went dark.
