She's playing with her pen, her face is agitated, restless, trying to forget the cold treatment she received from Lance days ago. 

She misses his laugh, his scent, and his voice. He's like a gravity she cannot escape. Either she's being pushed towards him or pulled back at him whenever she tries to let go. There's something in Lance that no matter how hard she denies, it's a fact that he needs to be in her life.  

"ano na ang plano mo? Siguro naman hihinto kana, klaro naman na ayaw niyang makipag-usap diba?"

"alam ko naman yon Dina, kaya nga hindi ko na muna siya kinukulit?"

"muna? Hindi muna? So may plano ka nga?'

"may gusto lang akong malaman"

"ano?"

"the truth!"

" anong truth? Kung gusto ka niya? Kung inlove ba siya sayo kung gusto ka ba niyang maging girlfriend ano?"

"pero nasasaktan kana, diba? so hindi kaba imporatnate sa kanya?"

"again, my feelings doesn't matter now, sa tingin ko mas kailangan niya ng tulong ngayon ewan hindi ko alam bakit, pero ramdam kong nahihirapan siya"

"so paano mo nga malalaman? Ayaw mo siyang tanungin, hindi rin siya nag-oopen up"

"I know exactly wo to ask"

"sino?"

Faight is eager to know the truth behind Lance odd behavior. It's like the old Lance she first met went back to hunt her, but this time much colder, distant.

"Naku Faight, hindi dapat ako ang tinatanong mo niyan"

"at sino? Yung kaibigan mo? Magugunaw nalang ang mundo hindi pa aamin sa akin yon"

"hinay hinay sa pag-gunaw hindi pa kumakalat ang lahi ko"

Lemuel light up a cigarette as tried while trying to avoid Faight's determination to know the truth.

"Faight kumalma ka nga"

"kalma? Nakakabaliw yang kaibigan mo!"

"ano ba ang gusto mong malaman? Kung mahalaga ka sa kanya? Ako na nagsasabi sayo sobra, sobra sobra"

"pero bakit siya umiiwas? Sa tuwing makikita niya ako todo iwas siya, parang gusto niyang pagsisihan ang araw na nakilala niya ako"

"Believe me, it's the other way around. Meeting you was the most important moment of his life"

"how am I supposed to believe that when he act so affected in front of Angela"

"ah so, na-je-jelly ka?"

Faight stared at him so fiercely and raised her eyebrow

"ok ok, kalma. Parang nasaksak ako dun ah, multiple wounds bes" "hayyy, kung itatanong mo kung naka-pag-move on na si Lance kay Angela? Yes, hundred percent yes!"

It calms her down a little, somehow her conviction about Lance being genuine to his sweet gestures towards her is justified. But her eagerness to know the truth escalated even more.

"so, why? Bakit nagkakaganun si Lance?"She asked gently this time

"Maybe because, Angela reminds him of the past, of course, she's part of it pero more of the event that hunts him till now, or worst? For a lifetime"

"what do you mean? shit, come on tell me!"

"okay! okay! susuko na eto na oh aamin na! nagmura na po si teacher Faight, mas nakakatakot ka kesa sa jowa mo, ang lethal ng combination niyo jusko!"
