Chapter 2- Sleeping Hearts

"pero hanggang kailan nga ba tayo tatakas sa riyalidad? Kailan natin ito haharapin? Pinangnak ka bang duwag at magtatago lang habang buhay? O haharapin ang bawat hamon nito, may kasama ka man o wala."

"si Diego, bata pa may karapatan siyang matakot, magtago, lumayo. Ako?"

Crushed by the wiggling wheels when the vegetables the truck loaded fell side by side. Crowds shouting concerns that can't seem to reach Faight's ears. The panting child covered by her body won't stop wailing out of his fear. The rover hit by the truck that was supposed to be them. Everything that transpired in the terminal repeatedly played in Faight's mind. The face of the man who drove the car, his blood gushing out flowing to his tattooed arms as he tries to covered his wounds. Gasping for air as his deep eyes pans at her, so deep she fell into something unknown at least to her.

Lance woke up after a while he's been treated.

"ah sir, hindi pa po kayo pwedeng umalis" said the nurse

Lance ignored the concern and removed everything in his body that's keeping him from standing.

"ah sir, sandali po, kakalagay lang po ng bondage, hindi pa po kayo pwede lumabas"

"maliit lang na sugat to, isa pa hindi naman ganon katindi ang pagkaka-bangga sakin, di ba?" Lance asked arogantly

"opo sir, pero po kasi"

"katawan ko to, alam ko kailan ko kaya o hindi"

Lance removed the bed covers off of him and stood up carefully, holding his wounds still.

"sir wait po sir" the nurse convinces him to stay when the doctor intervened the scene

"nurse, it's okay, I got this"- Doctor Sam calmly said

"Lance, you better stay. Your wounds kailangan yan malinisan at mapalitan ng..." Doctor stopped when Lance gave him an irritated gazed

"okay, okay, just come here regularly para sa dressing ng wounds mo"

"is he okay?"

"who?"

"the boy, is he okay?"

"He is, na-check ko na siya no wounds. And..."
