She watches the wave being tossed and turned by the wind. It's cold and windy that lunch and Faight's co-workers and friends set up the grilling materials for their lunch. Some were enjoying the waters playing like a loose kids from a grounded week. She sits inside the van as the door is wide open, giggling and smiling while she observes everyone so joyful.
"hoy Faight ano na? Hindi kaba maliligo?" Ruiz asked Faight while he sprinkle her with water
"ano ba Ruiz!!!"
"hay nako may inaantay yan" Mariz intervened while eating kebab
"suss... wag mo nang masyadong isipin yon ikaw pa dadating yon para sayo!"
"oo nga, nag-rereak kasi agad tong si Faight eh"
"hoy hindi ah. Alam ko namang darating yon, medyo mahirap lang basahin si Lance pero may isang salita yon"
"huwaw namen, getting to know each other stage na ba kayo? Ayeeee"
"ano ba Ruiz kanina ka pa ah, ha ha hindi no" "alam mo mabuti pa tumulong nalang tayong mag-bbq kay Ma'am Lannie, puro ka kalokohan eh"
"ahy naku Mariz yang friend mo laging in-denial"
"hoy Ruiz friend mo din yan ha ha ha"
To try avoiding her teasing friends Faight find herself a chore to divert her attention. While they prepare for lunch, Lance and other friends arrived.
"oh, teache Faight! Truck ni Lance oh...andyan na bisita mo"
Faight truned around and saw Lance parked his truck near the other vans. She watches him stepped out of it until he walks near towards her.
"ah...hi, Lance" Faight anxiusly greeted Lance while swiping both of her hands in each side of his long sleeve chekkered skirt.
Faight checks him out. She can resist not to stare his biceps revealed from his white rolled sleeves.
"hi Faight" Lance greeted back as his eyes stucked in her lips
"HI TEACHHER FAIGHT!"
"oh, hi Lemuel"
"hi hi, pasensya kana medyo late ah, eto kasing si lover boy ang daming pinagawa sakin para sa surpre..."
Lance smudge Lemuel's face before he even spilled the secret
"surprise? a...anong surprise?"
"wala! Wala yon... nagha-halucinate lang yan"
"ah...oo nga Faight wala yon, sige kakain nalang ako hindi pa kasi ako PINAPAKAIN ng iba dyan kaya nagha-halucinate ako! Utos ng utos tapos ganito gagawin sayo!"
Lemuel carefuly walked away from them, leaving the two together alone, finding the right words to say to each other.
"hi Faight"
"hi Lance"
"so, ano na?"
"ah...kumain ka na?"
"hindi pa"
"good to know, nagluto ako eh sakto gutom ka mauubos mo"
"masarap... yon for sure" Lance can't help but stare at her lips
"ahm... sa tingin ko nga, masarap" Faight can't resist to stare at his as well
