Yes, I know I post so much about Christine and what the demands are to play her... but that is because I have such a  passion and a love for that role, I've spent hours practicing, researching, and singing the part. I know some (A VERY SMALL SOME) of you feel the same and that is why I post!

I have published a chapter before about what it takes to play Christine Daaè.... but what I have here are the specifics of the vocal demands:

Lyric Coloratura:
A very agile light voice with a high upper extension, capable of fast vocal coloratura. Lyric coloraturas have a range of approximately middle C (C4) to "high F" (F6). Such a soprano is sometimes referred to as a soprano leggero if her vocal timbre has a slightly warmer quality. The soprano leggero also typically does not go as high as other coloraturas, peaking at a "high E" (E6).[1] Bel canto roles were typically written for this voice, and a wide variety of other composers have also written coloratura parts. Baroque music, early music and baroque opera also have many roles for this voice.[2]

Casting Directors:
beautiful young singer. Soprano voice that combines elements of classical and musical theatre. A light, floaty soprano. Although, beautiful darker tones are attractive for this role. She sings briefly to high E.

Vocal Range:
Soprano (Lyric or Light Colouratura): Low G3 to High E6.
Musical Numbers: "Think of Me", "Angel of Music", "Little Lotte/ The Mirror", "The Phantom of the Opera", "I Remember", "Poor Fool, He Makes me Laugh", "Raoul, I've Been There", "All I Ask of You", "All I Ask of You (reprise)", "Masquerade", "Notes II/ Twisted Every Way", "Rehearsal for Don Juan Triumphant", "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" (solo), "Wandering Child", "The Point of No Return", "Beyond the Lake".
Also known as: Elissa (Hannibal), Serafimo a.k.a The Pageboy (Il Muto), Aminita (Don Juan)
