"Come on, don't be like this, please..." You said in an attempt to change the mind of Kenma Kozume.

"I can be independent! Why don't you believe me?" He yelled. He wasn't one to yell, usually. He was being stubborn and he wasn't himself.

"You can't just run away like this! It's too dangerous!" You grabbed his hand.

"After all I had to go through you want me to continue suffering? What kind of girlfriend are you?" He said rather loudly.

"Are you just going to leave your parents alone looking for you? Do you know how much worry you'll cause them?" You tried to convince him to stay.

"So what? I'm being bullied, I have terrible grades, I've been having suicidal thoughts and have been scared to face many people. How do you expect me to carry on. Resilience is one thing but trying to be this resilient in a hopeless situation is plain stupid! Just stay safe and don't tell anyone! Do nothing! You understand?" He yelled as tears streamed down his face. You hugged him.

"Don't leave, please. I can't do it alone." This was your last attempt. If it failed like the other attempts, you would just have to let him go and keep his secret for him. It wasn't like it was that hard to live without him anyway. Encouragement to yourself wasn't helping. You knew it was going to be hard. There was no turning back after giving up. You just had to. And there was nothing you could do that to stop him.

---

Weeks passed, then a month, then another two months. You still couldn't accept the fact that he was gone. What kind of girlfriend were you? Not even trying to find him? Tears started falling down your face.

"Still miss him?" You looked behind you. Kuroo.

"Yeah... I'm sorry I couldn't make him stay." You sniffed. Kuroo sighed.

"The volleyball team has been performing terribly and it is at its weakest. We can't perform without him. He is our brain and heart." He had to refrain from using Kenma's name. His name made everyone feel worse. His parents were worried sick, Kuroo felt lonelier than usual and you were... Lost. Without him there was possibly almost no meaning to your life. You missed that lazy-ass video game addict like hell. Everyone was looking for him. And he was a gone case. Not even the school could find him. What now? Were you going to stay safe and do nothing like he said?

"I do miss him a lot." You sighed. Kuroo smiled sadly.

"Of course. Who knows? Maybe he'll come back." Kuroo tried thinking positive. You tried too. No use. Images of Kenma flashed through your head. Him laughing once in a blue moon, him stroking stray cats when you convinced him to get out of the house, him smiling to you, him teaching you how to play certain games, him just plain talking to you. You thought of him and smiled to yourself.

*Flashback*

"Don't give up on this." Kenma encouraging you was amazing. He had spent half an hour sitting next to you telling you not to give up on your project. You were trying to find information on a certain plant which you had found and so far guessing its name was not going to take you far.

"I'm trying." You smiled. He grinned shyly.

"Come on, just a bit more of trial and error and you'll make it." He placed his arm around your shoulders.

  "Yeah..."

---

"Kenma! Yes I found it!" You exclaimed. He laughed.

"Good job!" He hugged you. It was amazing with him around. Everything always went like it should. And it was amazing.

*End of Flashback*

---

"Why not we go and find him today?" You suggested. "He couldn't have gone out of Tokyo, could he?"

"True. Maybe he's hiding somewhere that we wouldn't expect him to go." Kuroo said.

"Where would be the last place he would go?" You asked. Kuroo thought for a bit.

"Somewhere near the school I guess. He's careful not to get caught and being near the school means no one is going to expect him to be there because it's too obvious." Kuroo replied.

---

"How long are we actually going to be out here? We're already pretty far." Kuroo groaned.

"We're still within a 1 kilometer radius from the school. He should be around here." You wanted to continue searching. And not stop.

---

"It has been 3 hours. Give up, (First name)." Kuroo sighed. You covered your eyes with your hands.

"You told me that a long time ago." You sobbed.

"I miss Kenma." As his name escaped your lips, you broke into tears. But then...

  "Kenma!"

It was another voice. And it definitely belonged to a girl. You looked behind you. Kenma. But kissing another girl. Your eyes widened. Your hands and feet lost all ability to move. Your brain refused to process anything. Your tear ducts produced many tears that you couldn't control. There he was. With another girl that he loved. More than you presumably. Your breathing got heavy. You let out a sob.

"I see it too." Kuroo said. He tried to make you feel better but it was no use. The emotional pain was immensely terrible. You were squatting down with your hands covering your ears and your eyes were tightly closed shut.

"Oi! Kenma!" Kuroo shouted. Kenma looked over to the both of you. He spotted you crying. He did hurt you. But he had someone else to love. And she was beautiful.

"I'm sorry, (First name). I was planning on coming back to Nekoma this week. But I found someone else to love. I'm so sorry." Kenma sighed as he approached you. You stood up and looked at him with teary eyes.

"It's gone isn't it?" You said quietly, almost like a whisper, but with voice cracks due to you crying.

"I can't have a relationship with you anymore. I'm sorry." He sighed. Your heart skipped a beat. You bit your lip. The tears streamed down your face faster. It was all gone. And there was nothing you could do about it. Nothing. Your bottom lip trembled, both your hands shook.
