Ashley's pov:

He looked at me and had a stupid looking smile on his face. I raised my left eyebrow in question as to what the hell he wanted. Who does this jackass think he is? James bond? Fabio?

"Hellooo?" He said waving his forefinger and index finger in front of my face. I leaned back a bit and cringed. There was hardly any need to come into my personal space.

"I heard you dumbass, I'm just not answering". Maybe I was being a bitch, but I doubt I hurt his feelings. Push people away and move on. That way when they leave me, I won't be upset.

He scoffed and stared at me a little longer before looking at the front of the class. My god this was a cliche. Asshat of a boy thinking girls are waiting for their legs to be opened. Maybe I'm assuming... Not a minute later he was back on the talking.

"You know your not nice, pretty girls are supposed to have pretty attitudes." He smirked. My assumption was right. I seriously want to teach this boy the meaning of the words, 'fuck off'. He won't take a hint. I carried on ignoring him, still looking at the front. He kept staring at my side profile. This was just irritating and annoying.

Finally when the staring match with my face and his eyes got too much I snapped. I spun around in my chair and glared. Hard.

"What!?" The whole class stopped and turned around.

"What's going on back there, Miss Grayson?" The teacher suddenly stopped what she was doing and looked at us. I looked at Xavier. That stupid, smug son of a bitch. I muttered a "nothing" and she went back to teaching muttering incoherent words.

With my gaze still on Xavier, who was still looking at me, I whisper yelled at him.

"Look, I'm ignoring you because I don't like you." I make a face at him. He's still smirking. Doesn't his face hurt? "Let me guess, Doesn't do rules? Think he's hot shit cause girls giggle when you walk into a room? Well, Xavier." I spit his name out like it sickened me. "Not every girl wants to have sex with you, and quite frankly, your not even that hot".

I lied. But I'd never lower any standards I may have because of a nice face. It was nice.

He looked taken aback then just looked offended. He leaned in closer allowing me to smell something I was all too familiar with, gun powder. Oh give me a break. Other than that though the cologne he was wearing smelt pretty good too...

"Listen darlin, you don't have to be mean. You're not that pretty anyways." He smirked and leaned back in his chair.

"Piss off." I rolled my eyes. He noticed what I'd said and immediately made it comical again. He winked at me. Ugh! I hate him. I've just met him and I already hate him. Whats with the smell? Didn't know children handled guns these days...

After an hour of hell and another hour of english, I walked out off class and bumped into a blue blur in the hall. I looked a little up and I realised I walked into a girl.

She had blue hair that went to her waist, blue eyes, blue lips and blue and black clothes. Emo? She looked oddly familiar. Her face turned from confusion to a kid on Christmas that saw Santa.

"Hey your ash!" She put her hands out in front of her, gesturing to me. Only people I knew well called me ash. I raised my eyebrow in question. She leaned in close.

"You've dealt to me before silly!" She whisper yelled. My eyes widened and I snagged her arm. Nobody is ruining this new life for me. She gasped at the hard grasp I held onto her arm with.

I dragged her into the nearest bathroom and locked the door behind me. Nobody was in thankfully. I turned around and pinned her with a glare. She just looked at me funny and then turned nearing to the sinks.

"What do you mean?!" I spoke loudly. She looked taken aback and then rubbed her arm. When she didn't answer me I raised me eyebrow and shrugged my shoulders. She started laughing. What the hell, she's laughing!

"Oh man! Dude, you really think I'd say anything? My necks on the line too." She smoothed her hair out in the mirror.

"Okay... good." I say slowly. She turned around.

"I'm megan, come on, we'll be late." She took my arm and I snatched it back.

"We?" She smiled. A genuine smile.

"Yeah, your sitting with me for lunch."

"No I'm not"

"Yes, you are." She grabbed my arm and dragged me through the now empty hallways and into the crowded cafeteria.

To say it was loud was an understatement. You had your clique tables. Gamers first, then your geeks, the preps, the ishy kids, emos, cheerleaders, jocks and a small-ish table, the "badboys". They looked like the cast out of "grease".

Megan was still holding my arm when she bounced over to a largish table and sat down with generic looking people. They looked up and smiled whilst I only lifted the side of my mouth in return.

"Hola, amigos this is Ashley. She's our new friend so- Coby stop looking at her ass!" I looked at the affending boy named Coby. He was good looking I guess.

He had shaggy blonde hair and green eyes looking like a fan girls dream. I winked at him and laughed a little when he blushed. I sat down and then Megan introduced me to everyone.

Tori was a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. She had a beautiful smile, like her teeth were perfect and she a had a soft blush to her cheeks. All in all she was really pretty, cute even.

Zack was a dude who was half hispanic  with black hair and really dark eyes. He was as tall as me, a little bit taller, maybe 5'8.

Tom was the tallest, with shaggy brown hair and blue eyes. He was about 6'2. I already met Coby.

"So, you seem all caged in whats up with that?" Tori asked. My eyes widened. Nobodys ever said that to me before. What could I say?

"Um, I don't really like people." Technically, I didn't lie. I don't like people. Like at all.

"Oh well, screw that idea off because by the end of the day, your gonna be my new friend!" She smiled so wide and hugged me. I tensed and patted her back.

I looked over at their table and saw a familiar pair of grey eyes settle on me. Who does he think he is? Looking at me. Breathing.

                                                    ~~

After lunch I finished my lessons and headed back home. Tori and megan hung out in all of my classes so they wouldn't stop talking to me. Thankfully they wouldn't ask too many questions about my life.

I pulled into my driveway about ten minutes later and headed for my door. A note was left on my doorstep and I picked it up and ripped the envelope off.

Stop running, it didn't end well for ed, michael and ricky.

My heart was all I heard in my ears at that moment. The pounding erased the sound of traffic a few streets ahead. Tears stung my eyes in sheer panic. My blood started to boil. He had found me. I crumpled the paper in sweaty hands and headed inside. I sat down on the couch with my head in my hands. The only way he could find me was if I was in someone's turf. Then it hit me.

Xavier.

He reeked of gun powder. He spoke to me and was interested in annoying me. Was he toying with me. Did he leave the note for him. Fuck! Did he even know who I was before this? Was Xavier was part of a gang?
