Cami's pov

It had been 2 days since that day and Kol still lingered in Davina's head like a catchy song, I went over to see her that day to talk and see how she was doing and to give everyone her some important news

Davina's pov

I huff once I finally finish the last of my chores for today, I quickly clean my hands and face to get rid of the dirt that appeared while I was sweeping the floors, it's a mystery to me how dirty the floors get when I clean them everyday but yet again I do live with a spoiled brat who likes to make my life a living hell so that probably solves the mystery on how the floors get so dirty everyday. Once I'm all clean, I head outside to my tree house which my dad built when I was little, me, my mom and dad use to have picnics and family game night up in the tree house, most of my favorite memories of us took place in this tree house. I sit down in the bean bag chair and briefly close my eyes but I snap them open when I hear the voice of my best friend calling out for me "Davina!" She yells I pop my head out the window in the tree house "I'm up here now be quite and get up here" I say waving her over, I watch as she climbs up the ladder "I think I'm getting a little old for that" she says once she gets in the tree house making me laugh "you're definitely not old Cami" I say to my blonde haired friend as I sit back down in my bean bag chair "so how are you today?" She asks sitting in the other bean bag chair "I'm alright I could be better" I say "the evil queen and her little brat giving you hell again?" She asks "when are they not giving me hell? I just don't know how much longer I can take living like this I'm a person I deserve to be happy" I say "I know you do just hang in here a little longer and good things will start to happen for you" Cami replies "I hope so" I say "so listen I didn't just come here to see how you're doing I'm also here to give you something" she says "what is it?" I ask "you know how I work as a therapist for the Mikaelsons?" She asks "of course" I respond "well King Mikael and Queen Esther are throwing a ball next month and every girl in New Orleans is invited usually the King and Queen send out invites through the mail but I knew if an invite was to come through for you that you wouldn't get it because Bastianna and Monique would destroy it so I took it upon myself to deliver your invite in person" she says pulling out a cream colored envelope out of her bag "are you serious Cami I can't go to the ball" I say "oh yes you can and you will it's time you got yourself out there and don't let Bastianna and Monique stop you from living your life" she says handing the envelope to me "it's easier said than done" I say "it's a lot actually just don't tell them you got an invite, wait for them to leave the house first then wait 20 minutes before leaving and ta da you have a wonderful time at the ball but just make sure you leave at midnight to get home before Bastianna and Monique do" she says "okay I'll go to the ball but I don't have a nice dress to wear" I say "don't you worry about that leave it to me" she says patting my knee I smile at her in response as I look at the envelope and open it

Their is a masquerade ball being held next month in honor to find the perfect bride for our son Prince Kol.

You are invited to join us on this spectacular evening for dancing, drinks and to meet Prince Kol in person

I look up at Cami with a raised eyebrow "Cami this ball is to find a bride for their son I can't go" I say sadly "why not?" She asks "I'm sure it would be lovely to marry the Prince let alone meet him but they're looking for a perfect bride and I am not perfect I bet the Prince wouldn't​ take one glance at me" I say "you don't know that Davina you're just saying that because Bastianna and Monique have put those awful things in your head and besides you don't have to go to just meet the Prince you can go simply to have fun" she encourages "okay fine I guess it won't be so bad" I said but little did I know that the ball would change my life forever​

Oh it's getting close to the ball, I'm sorry Kol wasn't mentioned in this but Davina was thinking of him, Kol will be in the next chapter and then after that chapter it will be the masquerade ball.
