Chapter 16: Alexandra's Death

The first time I watch this video si Alexandra kaagad ang naisip ko, I just want to share. Wala po sanang babagan ng trip gusto ko lang e share how I picture Alex, as a driver although hindi ko inisip na si Arci si Alex.

"Hi, Maurice. Do you know where I can find the big boss?" Tanong ko dito. Tatlong linggo bago ko iniwanan si Ashton sa Massachusetts ay nagpakita ako kay Maurice. Gulong gulo na ang isipan ko. I wanted to fix our marriage but I also wanted to pursue my dream with nascar. Ang problema si Ashton. Lagi syang nangingialam sa mga desisyon ko at hindi ko na rin nagugustohan ang pag seselos nya kay Dawson.

"I don't know where he is. Bakit?"

"Personal. Anyway, favor naman oh, pakibigay na lang ito sa kanya." Sabay abot ko sa kanya ng resignation letter ko.

"Alexandra you can't quit! Andito na tayo!" Naka taas kilay ko syang tinignan dahil pinakialaman nito ang laman ng envelope ko. Maurice Rey Clinton anong karapatan nitong pakialaman ang resignation ko? He is just a plain engineer who happened to love cars more than women because of his brilliant mind and a magician hands. Wala yatang makina na hindi napapaandar sa mga kamay ni Maurice.

"Maurice ayoko na talaga." Sa totoo lang, hindi ko talaga alam kung ito ba ang gusto ko. Kung tama ba ang gagawin ko. What Ashton and I have isn't healthy anymore and I have to fixed it before it will destroy us both. Maybe we could compromise just to save our marriage? Ewan!

"I can't believe I'm hearing this from you. You're walking away when we're this close to the championship?"

"Duh, personal nga diba?" If I won't resign now, I would end up leaving Ashton.

"Did you know that Francesca Savatorre will be will be on the circuit?" That made me stop. Francesca Savatorre is an Italian racer and my ultimate idol. Just by being on the same race with her means a dream come true, manalo o matalo I have to be in that circuit.

"You really know how to ignite fire me huh?" Tanong ko sa kanya.

"What can I say, I know your addiction when it comes to cars and race Alex." Natatawang paliwanag nya.

"Ok so postponed my resignation then. I'm in Mau!" It was the best two weeks of my life. Ashton and I were always happy and his been very supportive with my race. Siguro dahil alam nitong pangarap ko talagang makipag karera kay Francesca Savatorre.

But then Ashton brought me to Massachusetts to visit his mom and his brother and when I thought that everything was already perfect for both of us, he started spilling the beans with Trey! It was by accident that I've heard him telling Trey about us. How dare him for breaking his promise? Bigla akong nanlamig. Is this his plan? Is he trying to make everyone knew about me and him so he could have control over me? And of all the people, sa pinsan ko pa talaga?! Ano na lang ang sasabihin ni Trey sa akin? Na ang yabang yabang ko, very confident with my words eh yon pala, kay Ashton lang rin pala ako babagsak! And worst was he told Trey about the circumstance of our marriage!

The same day I found out about what he did, I left him. Bumalik ako ng Connecticut and got back with training. Mabuti na lang pala at hindi ko itinuloy ang resignation ko. Maybe, this is the best for us? But when the evening comes, I would find myself waking up because of a dream. Ashton's kneeling down, begging me not to leave him and it's been two nights already. Two night since I left him. What happened in Massachusetts had been my nightmare.
