Bludhaven was a bust. I needed some place to sleep for a while, someplace relatively safe. I had zetaed near New York City. In civilian clothes with a baseball cap pulled down over my eyes and a heavy coat pulled up to my shoulders. The cold windy rainy day was helpful to me.

I remembered Damian, and the Titans Tower was in the city. I made my way to it. Finding the back door I hacked into the security cameras and looked for whoever was in there.

Starfire was reading a book in the main room, Cyborg was fiddling with parts of the system, Robin was in a training room beating a punching bag, and another girl was in her own room. I did a double take on her. blue cloak, raven black hair cut at her chin... I ... I...

FLASHBACK

~

I'm strapped to a table again. Afer the world slowed down I couldn't stop them from bringing us back in. Above all else I wished I could access whatever I had, I wanted to break these chain, to get Kayla free, to run from this place and never come back.

They wheeled us back into the room we left. The pale girl still stood in the corner, though now talking to HIM.

"Don't worry, you'll do fine. Just try again and we'll make it better." His voice being soft was something unknown. She nodded and looked at us.

Everyone else let the room, again. It was just the three of us, again. The door locked, for the first time. 'If I can be fast again, I'll just knock that thing down.'

I looked back at her. She looked through some unseen window, nodded, and held her hands up again.

"Please." A tiny voice squeaked. I couldn't believe it came from Kayla, "Please, stop. It, it hurts."

She pulled back hesitantly, then forced through again. "azarath, metrion, zinthos." Black enveloped the room and flame surrounded my body, I pushed through it. 'She has at least a little care about people. Maybe I could talk her out of it.' The Doctors always said I had a silver tongue... if I could manage to use it right.

"Please, it hurts." Kayla was almost unconscious.

"Please! Please, stop you're hurting her."

End Flashback

I was almost shaking by the time I fully got beck to reality. I shuddered and disconnected my computer. I walked through the building trying to forget what I had remembered. I stood outside the training room Robin was behind. I could hear grunts as another bag left the ceiling and tumbled to the floor. I opened the door.

"Robin."

He whipped around so fast I flinched, his hand stopped centimeters from my chest. He did a double take, looking me up and down. Blurr lazily strolled in after me and sat between our boots. "What are you doing here? Isn't Father and the entire League looking for you?"

I nodded, "They are, that's why I want you to hide me."

He finally pulled back, "And why would I do that?"

"Because you know hiding places that the league won't look."

"Correction, Why would I do that, For You?"

"Because, Robin, you know how, and you don't like me or Darkness anyways so hiding me will effectively get rid of me."

He thought about it for a moment, "And the cat?"

"What about it?"

"Will you be bringing it, or does it have to get to Darkness somehow?"

"I'll be keeping her. And I have my own stuff, you can just leave me wherever your little hiding hole is."

Sometime Later...

"This is your hiding hole?!"

"Is something wrong with it?" I stuttered. The cavern he led me to was in Big Bald Mountain in Nevada. "It's miles from anywhere, the roads around here are untraveled, nobody knows about this cave, and a boom tube won't work in here."

The cave almost looked lived in, he had a bed on one side and the other side was almost fully comprised of a complete gym. In one corner there was a 'shower.' It looked like it pulled water from the lake nearly a mile away. In the other corner... I don't even know what the contraption was. and there were more things under tarps.

"Did you live here for a while?"

He looked at me, "A few months while Mother was trying to find Father. You and Darkness messed that up, Mother didn't know if it was good or not-"

"Actually, when you were in Gotham, she and I found you and listened in on your conversation. After that we told Dad about it."

He glared at me and left, the 'door' was a small split in the rock, it was short and thin, but as 'kids' it wasn't hard to get into. Any adult would have troubles.

"Well,' I thought to myself, 'Home sweet home...'
