Chapter 16 - "I love you"
Emelle’s POV
I went back to the tent and I saw Peter sitting up on the bed with a frown on his face.
“There’s something wrong with my bed,” Peter began.
“What’s wrong Peter?”
He grinned, “You’re not in it!”
I laughed as he pulled me down to the bed and hugged me tightly. He cupped my face and kissed both of my cheeks.
“Well someone missed me,” I giggled.
“Of course I missed you, the only thing I could think about was you… and Felix…”
A worried look flashed across my face.
“What are you going to do to him?”
“Don’t worry, dear. Just tell me what you told him.”
“Peter, I just said that we should be only friends nothing more than that.”
I left out the part where Felix said he would never give up. I knew that Felix would try something later on he was a well-determined boy. I didn’t want Peter to hurt Felix; I really did love him like family.
Peter wrapped his arms around me and we lay down on the bed.
“You’re mine Emelle,” he said.
“Peter, you can’t treat me like I’m an object.”
“I know, but you’re with me now, not Felix or any other Lost Boy.”
“Goodnight Peter.”
“Goodnight Emelle,” he kissed my forehead.
I snuggled into his chest and right before I fell asleep I thought I heard Peter whisper,
“I love you.”
