Rob and Kristen deal with a wedding, raising their daughter with babies on the way and a loss of a child. Join them on this journey as they figure out how to reach that point...
The twins are now 6 months old and are doing very well. I have picked up a new script for a movie called Camp x-ray and we start filming in Los Angeles next week.
It's 10 am and Rob and I are sitting on the couch watching the kids play on the floor. The pediatrician gave me some physical therapy exercises that I could do with Hadley to strengthen her upper body. I've been doing them with her usually when we're alone in the morning and sometimes right before bed. The wedding is two months away and so far we have gotten most of the stuff done we have needed too, Ashley and Nikki are my bridesmaids and tom is Robs best man and we have also decided that Peyton will be the flower girl.
"Are you sure you will alright with all three of the kids while I am filming?"
"Are you doubting me?" He smiled
"No, I am not doubting your parenting abilities, all I'm saying is this will be the first time you will have all three kids by yourself"
"We will be fine, well I'm not so sure about Hadley but overall we will be fine"
"Yeah, that's going to be the hard part."
"Yeah, but we will be fine"
"I'm glad it's in LA, otherwise, I probably would not do it."
"You do realize eventually, you're going to have to travel for jobs right?"
"Yes I know and I'm not looking forward to that, I was actually offered another role but it's in Vancouver and I said no to it. I mean not while the kids are so little and it wouldn't be fair to leave you with them."
"I'm leaving this all up to you, you know yourself Better. What time are their appointments?"
"In like 30 minutes, we should probably get them ready."
"Yeah," Rob got Elias changed while I got Hadley changed. I took Hadley with me as I went into Peyton's room and picked out an outfit for her. We headed downstairs and I went over to Peyton who was playing with my phone on the couch. I got her changed and packed the diaper bag making sure I had enough for the day. Rob took Elias and I took Hadley and Peyton and we headed out.
At doctors office
I sat on the bed with Hadley while Rob sat with Elias in the other chair. There was a knock at the door.
"Good afternoon you guys." he said as he shook our hands
"Morning doc" I said
We talked about the normal questions that he asks everytime we are here and then he brought up a possible surgery we could try
"Now there is an experimental surgery we could do, we take stem cells from her bone marrow and inject it into her retinas. it would improve her vision. it would be an almost 5-hour procedure and she would be inpatient for a few days afterward. we would have a blindfold on her so she could rest and the last day we would remove it"
"Ok, let us think about this please," I said
"Here is the surgery departments number and if you decide to go through with it then give it a call and they will help you set it up alright?
"Yes thank you," I said
40 min later
Both the kids checked out in health and it was time for their shots. Hep b, polio, pneumococcal.
I was not looking forward to this. I climbed onto the table with Hadley and laid her on it and I took her hands into mine. I flinched when I saw the needle, I turned my head and closed my eyes, I hate needles and knowing it wasn't going into my child didn't help any. The nurse counted down and then inserted the first needle, Hadley immediately started screaming and it cut right through me. My eyes started watering. The nurse did the other two shots and Hadley just screamed louder each time. The nurse finally said I could pick her up, I picked her up and cradled her against my chest as I kissed her
"I know sweetheart...Shh...you're alright love!" She clutched onto my shirt and looked at me with her tear filled eyes.
Next up was Elias. Rob looked at me and I'm pretty sure he could read my mind.
"Do you want to be in here for this?" He asked me
"Not really" I confessed.
"Why don't you go to the waiting room with Hadley and I'll stay here for this? I'll bring him out when we're done"
"Ok," I grabbed a diaper out of the diaper bag and headed out to the waiting room with Hadley who was still crying and Peyton. I curled up on the couch they had out there with Hadley in my arms
"Hey, your ok baby...shh Mommy's got you." Her cries quieted down and she nestled herself against my chest as she whimpered. Peyton was playing with the toys they had in the waiting room.
A few minutes later Rob came out with Elias who was crying, I sat up and handed him Hadley while I took Elias.
"Hey, buddy, you're ok..yeah..shh." Rob handed me a bottle and I sat there feeding Elias. Hadley was asleep on Robs shoulder. I looked out the window and there were paps trying to take pictures. "Fuck" I whispered under my breath
"What's wrong?" Rob asked me
"Cockroaches" I glanced towards the window.
"Finish with him and we will get going."
I finished feeding Elias and stood up
"Peyton, come on darling," I said as she ran over and took my hand. Rob grabbed the diaper bag and scooted Hadley up a little and we headed out, cameras flashed as we exited the clinic, trying to get pictures of our kids. I took the blanket that was in the diaper bag and put it around Elias while Rob tried shielding Hadley, both kids slept through the chaos as we finally made it to the car. We headed home and let the kids play in the living room while Rob and I cuddled on the couch. I scrolled through my phone and saw that there were pictures of us leaving the doctors office and more rumors. I turned my phone off and curled up into my fiance and we watched the kids play
