Monroe laid on my bed, flipping through pages of her book. I was painting, a leopard at that. I looked over my shoulder at her, and sighed. She hasn't said anything to me all day. All she does is nod and give me simple answers, like "yes" and "no". Nothing I say, or do holds her attention for a while. And trust me, I've tried. Something must be on her mind. I've been worried about her, as I've noticed some differences about her. She's been so quietly lately, and she doesn't smile as much anymore. Also, her style's changed. Not that I don't like it, it's just that..she looks like the girls at school. Plus, I haven't seen her around Joshua that much. It's like..she's being forced to be a certain way.

Putting my paintbrush down, I got up, climbing on the bed. I took the book out of her hands, climbing between her thighs. "Monroe..look at me.." I was desperate for her full attention. We were going on seven months of dating, and I've never seen her so..distant. I pecked her lips, and a soft smile made its way onto her face. Holding myself, I looked into her eyes. They weren't happy, like normal.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

I frowned, and sat up. Monroe sat up as well, and raised her eyebrows. "What's wrong?" she asked me, rubbing my arm. "Something's different about you, Monroe..I don't like it.." She sighed, "So you've noticed.." I pulled her into my lap, wrapping my arms securely around her waist. "Do you want to talk about it?" She got off my lap, going over to my dresser, where she moved around the things on top. "I've moved back in with my parents, Josiah.." I was taken aback to what she said, and I couldn't help but be surprised. "Really?"

Monroe nodded, "Last week. I hate it there, I really do."

I got off the bed, coming up behind her. I turned her around to me, wrapping my arms around her waist. I pulled her close to me, and she wrapped her arms around my neck. "Come on, let's get out of here." I took her hand, pulling her out of my room, and down the stairs. Mattie wasn't here, as she was at the store. Hopefully, we would be back before she came home. "Wait, Josiah, stop!" Monroe exclaimed, pulling her arm back to stop me. Looking at her, she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Where are we going? We have work to finish up.." she bit her lip, and I chuckled.

"You need to relax, that's the only important thing right now."

"But Josiah.." she mumbled. I took her hand, opening the entry door to the garage. She stepped down the few steps, stepping down into the room. I made sure to grab my keys before closing the door behind me, and I took her over to my car. "Get in," I smiled, holding the door open for me. She gave me a nervous look, and I couldn't help but smirk. I closed her door, jogging around to my side. I got in the car, and opened the garage door. I cut on the engine, and looked at Monroe, my hands on the steering wheel.

"Josiah..I'm not too sure about this.."

"Don't worry, you can trust me," I said, pulling out into the driveway. The sun was beginning to set, painting the sky a vast array of colors. I glanced over at her, and she was looking out the window, as gorgeous as can be. We would be making a series of stops, and our first stop was the store. "You can stay in here, if you want," I told her. She nodded, and I closed the door, going inside the store. I grabbed a basket, going around, piling chips and candy into the basket, filling it up to the brim. Once I was ready, I headed to the cashier, who gave me a weird look. "You're eating this all by yourself?" she asked, ringing the items up. I shook my head, smiling. "Date with my girlfriend." She nodded, "Well, your girlfriend is going to as big as a house if she eats all this shit.." I snickered, pulling a twenty and a ten ot of my wallet, handing it to her. She gave me a receipt, and I grabbed my bags. Once back outside, I placed the bags in the backseat, on the floor.

Then we were on our way. It was starting to get dark, the sun fully set. I rented a few movies for us o watch, and once again, we were on our way. I pulled up at our apartment, parking in the parking space. Monroe raised her eyebrows, "What are we doing here?" "Don't worry, my Queen." I got out of the car, getting the grocery bags out of the backseat. Monroe stood there, holding the DVDs in her hands. I set the bags down on the doorstep, and opened the door with my key. I let Monroe walk in first, and I trailed in behind her.

She tried to turn on the lights, but I snickered. "You don't have lights yet?" I shook my head, "No light bulbs." She nodded, and we began to put away the snacks. I left a few bags of chips and candy out, and I went over to the tv, getting it ready for the movies. Monroe kicked off her shoes, and got seated on the couch. I had gotten around to decorating a little bit, adding a couch, a tv, and a bed into the mix. I also brought my other painting easel over here, placing it near the window. I went over to one of the drawers, pulling out a little baggie and a few papers. I went over to the couch, and sat down next to her, tossing the things on the coffee table. Monroe's eyes traveled down tot he bag, and then to me. "Is that..?" I nodded, answering her question. "How'd you get..?" "Ray. He smokes occasionally."

I pressed play on the tv remote, the movie beginning to play. "Do your parents know?" she asked me, and I shook my head. My parentshad no idea I smoked this stuff. I only do it once in a while, sometimes while I paint. My first time was a few years ago, when I was in the tenth grade. Picking up the small bag of weed, I opened it up, taking one of the rolling papers and pouring it ut onto the paper. Once everything looked even, I rolled it, pulling my lighter out of my pocket, lighting it. I could feel Monroe's eyes on my as I put it to my lips, inhaling a small amount. I let it out, the smoke rising into the air of the room. I turned to her, holding it out.

She looked at me like I was insane.

"You..want me..to smoke that?"

I nodded, smirking. "It's not half bad. Plus, I'm right here, you trust me, right?" She nodded, slowly. I could tell she was curious about it, from the way she stared at me, and the blunt in my hand. I pulled her towards me and she straddled me, sitting in my lap. "Josiah, you sure about this?" I nodded in response, "Just relax." I took a hit, pressing my lips against hers. I bit down on her bottom lip, and she oopened her mouth, the smoke transferring from her mouth. I held her hips, our lips in sync with each other. I then took the smoke back into my mouth, letting it seep between my lips. She giggled, and I smiled, handing the blunt to her. "Don't hold the smoke in for too long, you'll cough."

I watched her as she held it up to her lips, inhaling. She held in in for a few seconds, and then let the smoke flow freely out of her mouth, just like a natural. I kissed her lips once more, her lips sweet with the flavor of the weed. I moved my hands lower, holding her round ass in my hands. She shifted a little, and I pulled away from the kiss, groaning. She giggled once more, smiling at me. "You're a natural smoker, baby.." She shrugged, "Really? It tickles my throat a little.."

We did it again a few more times, taking turns smoking the blunt. We eventually smoked it all, and the effects of it were getting tous. Monroe leaned her head on my shoulder, her eyes barely open. I had done this before, so it wasn't overwhelming, but Monroe on the other hand..you could easily tell that it was her first time smoking. My fingers danced over the fabric of her jeans, and I stared at her, watching her inhale and exhale slowly. We weren't even paying attention to the movie, anyway. We had eaten up all the snacks, chip and candy bags laying around.

Monroe straddled my legs, running her hands through my hair. She pecked my lips gently, and I smiled, caressing her face. My lips found her neck, and I left butterfly kisses along her neck and collarbone. She released a soft breath, and I eased her cardigan of her shoulders. I continued to kiss her neck, and this time she whimpered, right in my ear. I picked her up, carrying her over to the bed. She wrapped her arms around my neck, and I rubbed her thighs. I kissed hr lips again, my hands finding the hem of her shirt.

"Do you want me to stop?" I asked her, staring into her eyes.

She shook her head.

"I want you, Josiah."
