Her smile withered away as she saw my face, her face seemed to only draw in more hate and anger as our eyes met.

After her conversation with a guy begging to get back together with her, she walks towards me, each step filled with confidence and power.

"I'm surprised you're at school." She tells me, her voice dull, bored but critical.

"I could say the same for you." I reply nonchalantly.

She goes to her end of the classroom and stays there as I sit in my usual seat at the far back left side of the classrooms, near the windows.

I think to myself, what is Maya thinking about herself? Is she conscious in there? If I spoke to her would she hear me? Then it struck me. Maybe she would. Perhaps she could. My eyes stayed focused on something that wasn't there; Maya's face.
