Fall 2016 Quarterly Writing Goals

Okay, so in my stalking of author and YouTuber Jenna Moreci, I discovered this thing called quarterly writing goals. Now I'll be going by seasons as you know there are four seasons (well I hope you know that) in a year as my quarters. Jenna Moreci goes by months but she still refers to them by seasons which personally I think is a little confusing. So thus I will be going by seasons and their start and end dates.

(Okay, I just got really fucking distracted and scared because there was a spider by my fucking bed, where I'm sitting. I don't know if I got it or not.)

So, I'll get into what exactly quarterly writing goals are now. Quarterly writing goals are just goals in your writing you wish to accomplish in a certain time frame. For example, this quarter (this fall) I some writing goals I want to accomplish. This just helps you give yourself a deadline/goal date. It's completely okay if you don't accomplish all of your writing goals only as long as you accomplish 50% (or at least I call that success). I'll leave a goals video from Jenna Moreci right here.

Now as I mentioned before the dates for her's go by months but she names them by season. This is just a recap video as she explains (I believe she says it in this one. She has in the others.) is her just going through and checking off what she has got accomplished. I'll be doing something similar on here where at the beginning of a new quarter I share what I did do and what I'm planning to accomplish. Obviously, this quarter I don't have anything to share that I have got accomplished. But we'll get into my actual goals now. I'll most likely have between 5 and 10. The setup of this will make sense for sure.

Quarter Dates: September 22, 2016 - December 20, 2016

Goals:

1. Finish writing Fire is Raging On (A Hunger Games Fanfic)

2. Finish Editing The Hunger Games: Peeta's POV

3. Write 5 reviews for Book of Reviews

4. Write 10 parts for Ask Me Questions

5. Write 3 chapters for City of Bones: Jace's POV

Now, this part doesn't count toward my 10. I'll also explain #5 because that is going to be my new fanfic. It's The Mortal Instruments. It will be what I did for Peeta's POV, just now I'm doing it for TMI.

I have until 11:59 PM on December 20, 2016 to accomplish these. I'll report back on either December 20th or 21st and share my accomplishments and failures, as well as share my goals for the winter quarter.
