Chapter Seven

The Ball Room

Colette hopped of the Coach in front of me and I followed behind with slight less enthusiasm. We had reached town and Colette was filled with excitement for this shopping trip, even if I'm not going to the Vampire Ball I'm still going to enjoy this outing, away from the school and the odd feelings it gives me. I know that sound strange but I really don't how to explain it, because its not a bad feeling just a feeling I've never felt before... and now I'm sounding insane... oh well just forget it

"Where shall we start?" Colette asked me as I buttoned up my jacket "Miss said we have two hours, and then we're supposed to be back at the Coach"

I shrugged "It's your dress, where's best?"

Colette sighed un-happy with my response "Come on lets go this way" she pointed down an narrow ally way and I gave her a questionable look "Away from the rest of the of the group"

"Oh" I said understanding; the entire journey here was a lot of torture. I won't go into details but let's just say me and Colette don't get on with some of the other girls in our year

I agreed and followed Colette as we separated ourselves from the rest of the group.

We shopped around for a bit and ended having a pretty fun time, messing around in shops and annoying the people that were in them. But on the side of getting Colette a dress we were doing rubbish, and we couldn't find a single dress that fitted or suited her.

"Maybe we should just give up..." Colette sighed falling back into one of the benches that sat in the middle of the town square

I don't respond but start walking out of the centre of town

"Where are you going Lailah?" She called, when I ignore her and keep walking to the very corner of the town shops she grumbles to herself before following.

I then paused spotting the very thing we were looking for "Oh Colette" I sing grinning at her

"What?" She asked as she reaches me and turns in my direction

In front of us stood what look like the perfect dress shop we've been looking for, in the window stood one elegant Blue one shoulder, ruffled dress that sat on the model beautifully and next to that a man's black and white well fitted suit. They stood there just waiting to be worn. I looked up at the old rustic yet classy looking shop sign above that read 'The ball room'
