"I don't think I want to do this." She said with a terrified look on her face.

"You promised me remember. You said the next city we stop in, if we find a karaoke bar you would sing." He answered holding out his hand to help her get up out of the chair.

They are at a restaurant in Chicago which just happens to have a karaoke bar in it. As soon as she saw it she knew Grayson was going to make her get up and sing. She told him about her singing in one of their conversations, and he made a deal with her that if they were ever in a restaurant with a karaoke bar she would sing.

It's been a little over a month since they made that deal, and she thought for sure he had forgotten their conversation. The problem is, the man has a brain like a sponge, it absorbs everything and he is able to recall even the simplest things. It is a testament to his intelligence which is very high.

"Yes of course I remember, but I haven't done this sort of thing in years. What if I sound bad?"

"If you sound bad and someone has something to say about it they will have to answer to me. Would you like me to sing with you?"

She looked up into his eyes and just stared at them for a long time. He being up there with her would probably make her a little less nervous, but it doesn't mean she still isn't terrified. The last thing she wanted to do was embarrass herself, Grayson, or even Daysha who is sitting at the table across from her with Zach, Remy and Tabby.

Those four have been almost inseparable since the first week of the tour. She started to say something about it, but there was really no point especially with everything she has been doing with Grayson. It is evident that she is not setting a good example. Thankfully all of the girls are pretty intelligent and won't get caught up in ridiculous drama.

"I don't want to embarrass you, Grayson."

"That could never happen. C'mon, let's see what they have as far as musical selections."

She slowly lifted her hand placing it in his allowing him to lead her up to the place where all of the songs are. They looked over the list and she couldn't help but be excited that a couple of the Mystical Misfits songs were on it. She looked up at him and he smiled.

They stood there a good five minutes trying to decide on a song to sing. Since they would be singing together it had to be a duet of some sort.

"I don't know what to pick. Do you even know some of these songs?"

She looked up at him and saw him furrowing his brow deeply, obviously not happy with the question.

"Amelia, there is not a song on that list that I don't know. I may be in a rock band but I listen to all types of music. I believe I told you that before. So whatever you choose I will be fine with."

"Okay, what about this one?" She said pointing to one of the songs on the list.

He nodded, put his hand on the small of her back and led her to the man controlling the music. Grayson gave him their names and what song they chose to sing.

She took a couple of deep breaths preparing for the most embarrassing thing to happen to her. The sound of Daysha cheering caused Amelia to look over in her direction. She could see a huge smile on her face and that settled her nerves a little.

As the man introduced them, Grayson picked up her hand leading her onto the stage. They took the microphones off of the stand and waited for the music to begin. The song they chose is The Closer I Get to You by Roberta Flack and Donnie Hathaway.
