CHAPTER EIGHTY TWO: Last Flight Out

I hug Keith tightly.

"And cut!" The director said. Keith smiled as we let go of each other.

"It's a wrap." Keith's group mate said with a thumps up sign.

Keith approaches me. "Salamat for saying yes to this Nayeli." He said then nakipagkamay sya sa akin.

That day kasi na inihatid kami ni Keith ni Wendy he asked me if pwede akong sumali sa school project nila. A film. When I read the script narealize ko kung ako ang hiniling ni Keith na makasama.

"It's nothing." I said with a smile. Hindi agad binitawan ni Keith yung kamay ko making me awkward.

"Sana ganun lang din kadaling makuha yung yes mo." He said with hurt in his eyes. "If may time machine lang ako I would go back to that night at ako ang magsasayaw sayo." He said then he finally lets go.

I wasn't able to say anything. No words came out of my mouth.

"Thanks again sa pagpayag to do this school project with us Nayeli." Keith said then he said goodbye.

I watch as Keith walk away together with his groupmates. Sana ganun lang din kadaling irewind lahat ng bagay.

"Bigyan mo na kasi ng second chance. Love is a choice." I heard Wendy said sabay akbay sa akin. "Wag kang laging umasa sa Destiny na yan."

Tama naman si Wendy. Love is a choice and I chose to fall in love with thay bothersome pesky ectoplasm.

Sa totoo lang I am a bit disappointed. Umasa kasi ako na magpapakita sya sa akin ngayon after nyang manalo but I guess that night at the Mausoleum will be our last memory together.

Ready na ako to let him go.

After two weeks...

I open my eyes and the hanging dream catchers on my ceiling greeted me.

I smiled. There are no more nightmares for me. I went out of bed, took a shower and run downstairs. My family is already at the table. Lahat ng buhay pati narin mga namatay.

Lolo Ed and Lola Conchita are fighting again over some petty thing. Tony is telling my mom about her improving third eye. Stephen is playing with food again kasama si Jeremy. Tita Olga is at the kitchen kasama si Kuya Bruce.

Kuya Bruce has been getting quite accustomed with our family already. Alam na nya how weird we are and our little secret.

We all sat by the table and started having breakfast.

Kuya Bruce is telling us about his new painting when we all got distracted by the news on the television.

"Racer Tyler Arevalo is bound to fly to Europe tomorrow bringing with him hopes of getting one more step closer to the most prestigious racing competition in the whole world. The Formula One Race." The newscaster started. After that they showed Tyler being interviewed.

"I will be leaving tomorrow. One team is interested in getting me as their driver. I am so eager to start. It's like a beginning of new chapter in my life." Tyler said as he flashes a smile to everyone.

I felt my family's eyes on me. I have to calm my unsteady heart. Ilang araw ko ng pinag handaan itong day na ito diba? I must be okay with this.

"How long will you stay in Europe?" Tanong nung isang reporter.

"Maybe a couple of months or years perhaps. I really don't know but I am excited." Tyler responded.

"Hindi ba man lang sya magpapaalam kay Ate?" Tony said.
