CHAPTER TWENTY: Lost

I woke up inside the school clinic utterly confused. The last thing I can remember is walking along the university pathway talking to that irritating Tyler then now I am here staring at the white ceiling.

"What on earth did just happen?" I ask myself as I tried to sit up.

"Gising ka na pala?" A familiar voice said and when I look up I saw Keith walking towards me.

(=O__O=) Anong ginagawa nya dito? Eeek!!!

He walks towards the side of my bed and smiled at me.

"How are you feeling?" He asks.

I opened my mouth but nothing came out. Para akong na starstruck na naman sa kagwapuhan nya.

"Nahimatay ka kanina while walking mabuti na lang nasalo kita." He said while flashing another hypnotic smile.

I loss consciousness?!!! But why? And where the heck is that bothersome ghost Tyler?

"I am glad you're not very heavy. Mahihirapan akong buhatin ka kapag nagkataon Nayeli." Keith said with a chuckle disrupting my thoughts

Oh my gosh!!! Did he just say that he carried me?!!!

Pumasok agad sa isip ko that what we look like ad Keith carried me from the school pathway hanggang dito sa clinic. I felt my cheeks burning. Nakakahiya na nakakakilig at the same time.

The curtains opened and our school doctor entered the room.

"How are you feeling Nayeli?" He asks me.

"Medyo okay na po dok." I replied shyly then he started putting the stethoscope on my left chest.

"Medyo mabilis ang tibok ng puso mo ngayon hija? Are you sure you are alright?" Nagtatakang tanong sa akin nung doktor. I nodded immediately. Alam ko naman kung bakit mabilis ang tibok ng puso ko ngayon and it has nothing to do with any type of disease. My heart is beating fast because of Keith.

"You can stay here for awhile if you like but if your feeling fine already pwede ka ng bumalik ng class mo." The doctor said before finally leaving.

I look back at Keith. "Thank you for helping me." I shyly said to him.

"It's fine." He said then he started staring at me making me feel a little awkward.

"Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng kulay berde na mga mata. They look like emeralds." He said. Umiwas agad ako ng tingin. I got the color of my eyes from my mom. Tony and Stephen both has the same eye color too.

"They're very pretty." He said making my face heat up.

"Keith! Sus! Nandito ka lang pala?! Nandyan na si Ma'am." One of Keith's friends said when he appeared inside the clinic. He looks at me with a smirk then he looks back at Keith. "Tara na!" He exclaimed.

"Nayeli mauuna na ako. I hope you will get well soon. See you around." He said with a smile then he went out together with his friend who looks like he doesn't like me.

I let out a sigh of relief after Keith went out of the room.

"Tyler? Are you here?" I whispered but only silence answered me.

Now where on earth is that pesky ghost?

"Pssst....Hey man!!! Open your eyes dude." A voice said.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw a blurry image in front of me.

"Oh man are you alright?" Tanong nung boses.

I waited for my eyes to focus. When my vision cleared napabalikwas ako kasi a thin guy with long hair is stooping over me.

"Chill man!" He said while tyring to calm me down.

"Nasaan ako? Sino ka?" I ask the hippie looking guy.

"Hmmmm...I think we are some park or something." Sagot nung lalaki then I look around and found out that I am indeed inside a park.

"You look kinda different to be a ghost." The guy said making me look back at him doon ko lang napansin na like me he is already a ghost. "Hi I am Sid." He said with a smile.

"Tyler." I replied. Nasaan na ba ako? Wait! I know I am with someone awhile ago....

But who?

"Did you notice someone here with me awhile ago?" I ask Sid.

"No man. I found you sleeping in this corner alone. Were you with somebody?"

I tried hard to remember but I can't. "I can't remember." I replied. This is so frustrating. I think I am missing something important in my memory.

"It's natural dude! You see when we turn into ghosts we sometimes jumble a lot of memories from our past and present. We also tend to forget a lot of things but no worries it will all come back slowly. Just give it some time." The hippie ghost said.

Hindi pa rin mapanatag ang loob ko. I need to remember who I was with before. Positibo akong may nakakalimutan akong importanteng bagay.

"I guess you are a newbie." Sid said. "I've been like this for quite some time now. Maniniwala ka bang I might be eighty plus years old by now?"

"I just died recently. A car crash." I said.

"Eeeyouch!" Sid exclaimed then we heard a couple walking towards us arguing.

"How could you do this to me Bert?! You're a cheat!" The girl shouted with trembling voice. She seems to be crying.

"So what?! I can still do anything I want! Hindi pa naman tayo kasal! So shut the f*ck up Wilma!" The guy shouted making the girl cried even more.

"What a douche!" Sid commented as we stare at the arguing couple. "Watch this." Sid said then suddenly I saw a banana skin moving by itself.

"Are you doing that?" I ask him then Sid laugh out loud when the guy slipped and hit the his ass on the ground hard.

"Ha ha! You deserve that dude!" Sid said then he looks at me again. "Sorry I didn't hear you. What was that you asking me again man?;

"Did you make the banana skin move?" I repeated.

"Yes I did." Sid proudly replied.

"How did you do that?"

"We all can. All we need is practice and a lot of will power dude." Sid said with a peace sign.

"Can you teach me how to do that?" I ask Sid. Kailangan ko din namang magkaroon ng ganun skill especially now that I know that somebody wants to kill me. It could even be part of my team.

But wait.....who again told me that? Geesh!! I really can't remember. Ughhh when will my memory come back? I really feel like I am missing something very important right now.

"Just hang around with me man and I will teach you the ways and perks of being an ectoplasm." Sagot ni Sid then I followed him.
