CHAPTER THIRTY FOUR: Favor

I worriedly look at Tyler as his doctor lights his eyes. Umiling sya then he looks at all of us.

"I'm sorry to say but Tyler is in coma again." Malungkot nyang sinabi.

Tyler's mom started crying. Inalalayan sya nung daddy ni Tyler.

"How is that even possible doc? He woke up and even went to Madrigal University." Tanong nung daddy ni Tyler.

"Hindi ko din ma explain why. Our brain is still full of mystery and him waking up temporarily is very puzzling. I have to review his diagnostics again." The doctor said then he closes his bag.

"Jackie, Rico pwede ko ba kayong makausap sa labas?" The doctor said then they left me and Jerome alone inside the room.

"Who are you?" Jerome asks me. I know he is eager to ask me a lot of questions already.

"Nayeli Crisostomo." I replied with a forced smile. I know he is suspicious of me.

"Kelan kayo nagkakilala ng pinsan ko? Are you his new girlfriend?"

Agad akong umiling. Paano ko ba ieexplain how Tyler and I met? Ang hirap kaya!!! (T-T)

"I just met him recently. We bumped into each other sa may pedestrian lane." I said which is actually true.

"Why would he go to you as soon as he woke up? He even said you were special." Jerome said then he steps closer to me. "You're weird." He said habang nakakunot yung noo.

"I get that a lot." I said then I gave a nervous laugh.

Jerome looks at me with narrowed eyes. "You look very familiar. Parang nakita na kita before." He said.

Oh no! He can't possibly remember that I used to be one of the participants in their tour sa Falcon Motors!!!

"Common kasi itong mukha ko kaya ganun. Akala ng ibang tao nakita na nila ako somewhere kahit hindi naman talaga." Palusot ko but it looks like he is still not convinced. Suddenly the door opens and Tyler's mom called Jerome. Nakahinga na ako ng maluwag. I am glad he is gone. Ayoko ng sagutin yung mga tanong nya.

Now I am left alone with Tyler.

I slowly walk towards him and I touch his hand. I am so terrified right now as I look at him. Wala kasi akong maramdaman. I can't sense him anywhere and I can't even call him out.

Did he also disappeared?

I shook my head and erase the thought. Tyler is fine. He's got to be fine. Maybe he is just floating some place else looking for clues about his accident.

"Mamaya lang Nayeli susulpot na ulit yun. There's nothing to be worried about. He is fine." I tried to convince myself pero yung kaba nasa dibdib ko pa rin. I look at Tyler's face. "You're fine right?" I ask him then I squeeze his hand.

I let go when Tyler's parents steps inside the room again. His mom smiled at me.

"Nayeli right?" She asks while approaching me.

"Yes po ma'am." I shyly replied.

Hinawakan nung mom ni Tyler yung mga kamay ko. "You can call me Tita Jackie and for him Tito Rico na lang." She said with a warm smile.

"You and my son must be really close with each other." She said.

"Hindi naman po."

Tita Jackie sadly looks at Tyler's body. "Sa totoo lang the past few days I am starting to lose hope already but after he woke up today medyo nabuhayan ulit ako ng loob." Tita Jackie said.
