CHAPTER SIXTY EIGHT: Out of Focus

Tyler

I hit on the brakes as the car swerved towards the right. I am out of the track on once again. I cursed.

"Tyler? Are you okay?" Rick asks over my earphones.

"Yeah I am fine." I grimly said.

"Let's try it again later. We will have a break first to cool off your head." He said.

I slammed both my hands on the steering wheel. No matter how hard I try I can't make it through that one difficult curve.

I went out of the car just as soon as my crew came running towards it to check everything.

My cousin Jerome run towards me.

"Nahihirapan ka ba?" He asks as I remove my helmet. I sighed. I don't know why on earth I can't make that freaking turn!

"Ty, nagawa mong makaya yung mga even more difficult curves than this one. Is there something bothering you?" Nag-aalang tanong ni Je sa akin. Di ko din ma explain what's bothering me.

"This is nothing Je." I said then I walk towards the garage.

"Is this about Nayeli?" Jerome suddenly asks. Napabuntong hininga ako.

"I kept thinking how much of a douche I am to her. Bakit ba kasi sya pa ang nabura sa isip ko dapat ikaw na lang."

"Ha?!!!!!" Je said making me laugh.

"I am just joking Je but the douche part is true though."

"Tyler!" Sandra greeted me as soon as I stepped inside the garage. She instantly hugs me and gave me a kiss on the cheeks. "You look tired babe. What's wrong?" She said in a worried tone while touching my face.

"He's distracted." Sagot ni Jerome as he steps in.

Sandra's eyes widened. "Why on earth would you be distracted Tyler? Is it because of me?!" Sandra asks and Jerome coughs.

"No. Maybe I am just a little tired that's all." I replied.

"You need to get out of town Tyler. Let's get some fresh air." Sandra suggested but I declined.

After a few more practice and failed attempts to make it through that curve my team finally decided to end the day.

I sneaked out of the compound without anyone knowing. I decided to drove around town and found myself in front of a familiar university. Some students are already going out of the main gate.

I went closer to the gate and was surprised to be greeted by the security guard.

"Oy idol! Bibisita ka ba ulit? Sige pasok na." He said with a smile.

Feeling a little confused I decided to just step inside the campus. Students started murmuring as soon as they saw me others were more confident to approach me and have their pictures taken with me.

Escaping the crowd I ended up in this isolated fountain inside a garden. Being here feels like a deja vu. Have I seen this place before in my dream?

Moonlight, a faint sound of music nearby...a romantic dance with a girl. This place speaks of those events in my head that gives an impression that this place had really been part of a dream before.

I must have been sighing the whole time I was walking from my school hanggang dito sa may park.

Di ko kasi maialis sa isip ko yung last na pag-uusap namin ni Tyler a few days ago.

"Please Tyler just don't follow me anymore." I exclaimed habang naglalakad ako papauwi ng bahay namin after ko tumao sa store ni Tita Olga.
