CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN: Passage

Nayeli

When I entered my college building sobrang naiilang ako. Why? Because everyone is looking at me.

May isang babae na lumapit sa akin. I don't know her. She smiled at me.

"Hi! I'm Jessa. Magka batch mates tayo iba lang section ko. You are Janeli right?" She said with a huge smile.

"Nayeli." I corrected her. She giggled at hinampas pa yung braso ko.

"Oo nga pala!" She exclaimed then tumawa ulit. Napakunot yung noo ko. "Is it true that you are dating that racer?" She asks.

(-____-) Kaya naman pala.

"Hindi! Magkakilala lang kami ni Tyler." I replied.

Tumawa ulit sya ng malakas. "Is that so?!!!! Oh em gee!!! Everyone thinks you two are dating hahahahahaha." Jessa said sabay hampas ulit sa braso ko.

Hinimas ko yung braso ko. Bakit ba sya hampas ng hampas.

"Basta if you need anything I am just several rooms away. Bye Angelie!" Sabi nung Jessa then she waved goodbye.

Iko-correct ko sana ulit yung name ko but I just let it go.

The attention doesn't stopped there. Habang umaakyat ako ng hagdan lahat ng makasalubong ko were all giving me smiles which is really weird dahil dati para lang akong multong dumadaan sa harap nila....transparent.

Ever since Tyler went to my rescue everyone seems to be kinder and in just one day may existence na ako bigla sa malaking university na ito.

I slumped on my chair and grunted. Halata namang pinapansin na nila ako dahil kay Tyler. Biglang natamaan ako ng notebook sa ulo.

"Hey!!!" I exclaimed tapos paglingon ko kung sino yung nambato si Wendy pala. Paglapit nya kinurot nya yung tagiliran ko.

"Ouch!" I shouted.

"BFF mo ako diba?! Then bakit hindi aki aware na may boyfriend kang popular at hot na racer ha!! Pakunwari ka pang di mo sya kilala dati yun pala nilalandi mo na!!" Bulyaw ni Wendy sa akin.

Para syang dragon na bumubuga ng apoy right now I swear!

"Hindi ko nga sya boyfriend! Kakilala ko lang! Kaibigan!" I exclaimed.

Wendy looks at me with narrowed eyes. "Bumawi ka sa akin." She demanded.

"Ha?! Bakit?"

"Introduce me to Tyler." Wendy said completely ignoring my question.

"Ahhhh...ehhhh..." I said. Pano ko kaya sasabihing di pa pwede because he is in coma? Hirap naman neto.

Wendy leans forward at inilapit nya yung mukha nya sa akin then she pointed at my face. "I'm expecting to meet him." She said then she went back into her seat and our professor finally steps in.

I can't concentrate on the lecture so I just started doodling on my binder instead. As I doodle I started recalling that day Tyler and I met. He looks utterly confused that day. Naalala ko din the first time we touched. Yung electricity first time ko maranasan yun. Naalala ko din yung piggyback ride, when I sang to him the Bear Song, the moonlight dance and the way his hand feels noong nagising sya at pinuntahan ako dito sa university.

I stop doodling and saw the image that I drew. It was Tyler's face.

The bell finally rang during our last subject then nagsimula ng tumayo yung mga classmates ko. Sabay kaming bumba ni Wendy.

"Hindi mo ba talaga boyfriend yung racer na yun?" Pangungilit nya sa akin.

"Hindi nga. Kakilala ko lang." I replied.
