CHAPTER SIX: Followed

Palinga linga ako sa may labas ng school gate. Yung ibang estudyante na dumadaan napapatingin tuloy sa akin. Kinakabahan kasi ako. What if nasundan na naman ako nung multo dito sa campus?

Napaigtad ako ng may kumalabit sa likuran ko. Nakahinga lang ako ng maluwag when I heard Wendy's laughter.

"Kalurki ka Nayeli ha! Magugulatin much?" She said while giggling. I rolled my eyes at her.

"Don't go sneaking up on people like that." I hissed at her.

"Eto naman di na mabiro. Eh teka nga, sino bang sinisilip mo dyan? May pinagtataguan ka ba?" She asks.

"Wala." I lied then I put my shades on.

"Alam mo Nayeli yang mga ganyan mong kaweirduhan ang dahilan kung bakit wala ka pang BF hanggang ngayon eh. Tama ba namang mag shades eh ang dilim dilim na?" Wendy said while trying to get my shades off me but I evaded her hands. I heard people giggling then paglingon ko sa kanan I saw students passing by and nagbubulungan habang nakatingin sa akin. Some of them were even giggling at umiiling habang nakatitig sa akin.

"Nayeli I don't know if alam mo na ito but I've been hearing a lot of stories about you. A lot of students here thinks of you as odd and calls you weirdo behind your back." Wendy said. Well di na bago sa akin yun. Bata pa lang ako lahat ng estudyante sa dati kong school na pinapasukan natatakot lumapit at makipag kaibigan sa akin. They find it creepy to hang around me. May something eerie daw about me. I can't blame them hindi naman kasi nila nakikita yung mga nakikita ko. There are ghosts that can really scare the broad daylight out of you.

"Hayaan mo na sila. Di ko naman kailangan ng madaming kaibigan ang kailangan ko lang yung mga tunay na kaibigan tulad mo." I said to Wendy sabay kindat.

"Nambola ka pa! Sige na mauuna na ako nandyan na sundo ko and by the way abangan ko so Keith papalabas na yun." Wendy said before leaving.

Kinilig ako bigla. Makikita ko ulit today si crush. Ang isa sa mga pinaka gwapo dito sa Madrigal University sumunod sa isnaberong si Hunter Madrigal.

Tinanggal ko muna ulit yung shades ko then I fixed my hair. Dapat lang naman na maganda ako bago nya ako makita diba?

After ng mabilis na retouch finally nakita ko ng padating ang Prince Charming ko.

"Ang gwapo mo talaga." I said as I stare at him habang naglalakad sya papalapit ng gate.

I often imagine him being my boyfriend. Haaay!!! Ako na siguro ang pinaka swerteng babae sa buing mundo kapag nangyari talaga yun.

Keith glances my way pagdaan nya sa harapan ko.

Should I smile?

Kumaway kaya ako?

Magpatweetums?

Oh my gosh!!! Ang gwapo nya sobra!!!

I have no idea why I ended up being in this place. Ang alam ko lang kanina nandun ako sa kalsada then next thing I knew nandito na ako sa school na ito.

Di ko ma-explain. Still no one could see me but the good thing about being here is that yung babae kanina sa kalsada nandito ngayon sa school na ito. Akala siguro nya matatakasan nya ako.

Think of it weird but I can sense her. Parang alam ko where to find her.

I snorted as I look at her habang nagpapacute doon sa isang estudyanteng dumadaan. Pfft... as if naman papansinin sya nung lalaki eh mukhang busy makipag usap sa mga kabarkada.

I slowly walk behind her. Magsasalita pa lang ako ng bigla syang na-tense. She immediately covered her eyes with her dark sunglasses and started walking. I followed her.

"Miss pwede mo bang sabihin kung nasaan tayo?" I said to her pero di nya ako pinansin. I tried to cover her path pero umiwas lang sya.

"Miss! Would you please stop for a second?!" I shouted in frustration. I've been feeling lost the whole day, confuse and terrified tapos my only link to feeling normal is ignoring me.

When we turned on a corner of the street I grabbed her arm.

"Let go!" She shouted then she pushed me away. "Would you please stop following me around?!!!!" She angrily said.

"I won't stop following you hanggang di mo ako kinakausap!" Pagpupumilit ko.

"Whatever you want me to do sorry but I won't do it! The last time na tumulong ako I almost got killed! Maghanap ka na lang ng iba dyan! Not me!!!" She shouted then she started walking again.

I am known due to my perseverance kaya naman I still followed her.

"I just need some directions. I think I'm lost." I said to her pero di pa din nya ako pinansin.

"Everything around me is being weird and I am a little confuse. Just help me get home." I pleaded to her. She finally stops on her tracks and looks at me. Even with her eyeglasses on I can still sense her eyes on me.

"Just follow the bright light at the end of the tunnel! Easy as pie!" She exclaimed then naglakad na ulit. Napakunot ako. What on earth is she talking about?! I walk a little faster para makasabay ulit sa kanya.

"What light? Anong tunnel?" I ask her. She grunted and ignored my query.

"Miss hindi ako titigil hanggang di mo ako tinutulungan." I said making her stop again then she remove her eyeglasses and look at me sternly in the eye.

"Look Mr. Ghost I can't help you. Maghanap ka na lang iba dyan na willing tumulong. Marami naman dyang mga Paranormal Investigators wag ako ang guluhin mo! The last time I helped your kind I almost got shot. So please stop following me!"

Mr. Ghost?

Paranormal what daw?!!!!

"Ghost? What do you mean ghost?" I ask her.

She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes at me. "Ghost, spirit, an entity.....multo?" She replied with a raised eyebrow.

So she thinks I am a ghost?!

I laughed out loud.

"Wait wait wait! I am not a ghost." I said after ko mapigil yung pagtawa. This girl is really hilarious.

"Yes you are! You died and now you're a ghost." Sabi nung babae sa akin. I shook my head in disapproval. I didn't die, I don't feel dead therefore I am not a ghost!

"I am not a ghost!"

I can't be.....
