CHAPTER TWENTY NINE: Ball Date??

I don't like the way the pesky ghost is looking at me atsaka there is also this weird silence in the kitchen. So Stephen lang ang nag iingay habang nanlilimahid na sa mashed potato yung mukha nya. Tony went to school early dahil may program daw ang mga HS Students ngayon.

Hindi ko din alam kung nasaang lupalop yung Hippie Ghost na si Sid.

Tita Olga cleared her throat then she started asking my mom if she has any idea where to get some perfect and fresh herbs. Siguro gagawa na naman sya ng potions nya.

After eating breakfast I stand up from the table at nagpaalam na aalis na.

The streets are busy this morning. Nagmamadali na akong maglakad because I don't want to be late but I can still sense Tyler staring at me from behind.

I stop. I look back at him.

"Ano bang problema mo?" Inis kong tanong sa kanya.

"Ako ba kausap mo?" Tyler asks while pointing at himself.

Yung mga tao sa paligid started moving away from me at yung iba nagbulungan na. Di ko na kasi matiis yung paraan ng pagtingin sa akin ni Tyler.

I crossed my arm. "May iba pa ba?" I ask. Tyler looks around us then back at me.

"People are looking." He said. I stomp my foot and grunted. I turned around and started walking again.

Why can he just say it to my face that he is pitying me? Ramdam ko naman eh! Di ko lang alam his reason for feeling that way towards me. Yun ang nakakapanggigil!!!

"Zack!!!" I heard someone said. Napahinto ako bigla sa paglalakad. My whole body feels tensed and my hands starting shaking uncontrollably.

Just die Nayeli.... Just die for me... I heard his voice inside my head. I can't move. Parang nilalamon ng dilim yung paligid ko dahil sa takot then.....

I felt someone touched my hand. Yung darkness nawala. I look down on my hand and saw Tyler's hand tightly holding mine. I look up and saw his worried stricken face.

"Uy!!! Pinakaba mo ako ha! Don't space out like that again. It felt like you are going some place else. Okay ka lang ba Nayi?" He asks.

I felt that spark of electricity once again when we touched I quickly remove my hand away from his.

"I'm fine." Naiilang kong sagot then I continued to walk.

If he is really my soul mate hindi ba sya ang dapat mas unang nakilala ko kesa kay Zack at Keith? Hindi ba sya dapat ang unang minahal ko?

Is that how things really work o baka naman I am just sugar coating life?

"Nasaan ba yung si Sid? Ako na naman tuloy ang kinukulit mo." I ask him.

"I don't know. Hanggang ngayon di pa sya bumabalik. Maybe he went back to the park." Tyler said.

"Wag mo akong kulitin sa loob ng campus ha. Baka mapahiya na naman ako." I said but Tyler didn't reply he just continued to walk beside me.

Pagdating sa campus ang dami ng nagkukumpulan sa may bulletin board.

"Gosh! I am so excited na talaga. Imagine? Eto talagang Senior's Ball ang hinihintay ko buong high school life." I heard one of the students say.

I snorted then I continued walking towards my college building.

"Bakit parang di ka excited?" Tyler asks.

"I am not going. May mga date lang pumupunta dyan." I bitterly said. Gustuhin ko mang pumunta. Who would invite a weirdo like me? No guy would ask me out to be his date.
