I walked behind Alexander as Lafayette led the way to the theatre. His hair glistened in a ponytail. His outfit was cool, well-fitting jeans and a blue leather jacket. He was from Rhode Island. I had never met anyone from Rhode Island. I liked the way he said it, too. His voice was fit for a tenor one. I'm a tenor one. I liked how he moved his shoulders when he walked, no too much, but he had some coolness about him. His skin looked smooth. And don't get me started on...
"John! What's up with you? I've been trying to ask you a question!" Hercules complained.
"What is it?"
"French or Italian dressing?" The three boys asked together.
"Oh... French."
"Yes!" Alexander and Lafayette exclaimed as they high-fived.
Hercules scowled. "Traitor." He joked.
We continued to talk and laugh. I wondered if Alexander thought I was a complete idiot now. I hoped he didn't.
"Is this the theatre?" He asked.
"Yeah." I said.
"You know what, Laurens?"
"What?"
"I like you a lot."
