I was thankfull for the buffer of my blue for not only did it shield the car from a plunge into the ravine below but it also cushioned me from any serious damage. I couldnt say the same for my two companions up front.

The whiplash knocked them out. At least that is what I think it did. Their heads were at an odd angle that I was sure could not be natural. The blood oozing out from the gnash on on their foreheads weren't a good indicator either. I turned to furiously  look at Cody who had just one handedly pulled off the otherwise virtually welded shut back door to the now unrecognisable lincoln.

"What did you do to them?" I demanded of Cody.

But all he did was give me an indifferent shrug before he reached in to haul me out and without wasted movements we were up in the air heading to god knows where.

This time I welcomed the blackness that consumed me. Knowing I had caused those deaths was more then I could handle. I embrased the oblivion and rode the distance to whereever Cody had in mind limp in his arms.
