I made breakfast for Eric and I as it might be the last time. I hoped anyway as I was growing impatient by the minute. I wanted out. Eric looked at me, "Are you alright?"
I nodded and took a bite of my food. "I'm fine," I answered.
Eric touched my cheeks as I knew they were still red from yesterday. "I'm sorry. Just when you do reckless stuff like that, it makes me question if you think I'm a joke.
Of course I think that sweetie. "I don't think that. I just wanted the warm sun on my face again."
"You can't feel it by the windows?"
"Its not the same," I told him.
Eric shook his head and stood up from his seat. "What more do you want from me?" He shouted.
"Let me go!"
Eric's eyes widened, he grabbed my hair and dragged me into the bedroom. "You are never leaving me, understand?"
I looked at him, "I don't love you."
Eric looked at me as if something had snapped. Eric pinned me down, he took a knife from behind him and cut the straps off my shirt. "I will make you love me," Eric told me as he lowered my pants down.
Eric stopped and grabbed zip ties and tied me to the bed. I screamed as he got back on top of me. He lowered himself and licked my breast. "Let me go!" I begged him as I felt him take something out of his pocket.
I bit my lip and looked up at the ceiling as I begged my mother to make him stop. "Please stop," I begged him.
Eric covered my mouth and got lower. He moaned in pleasure in my ear as I soaked his cheek with tears.
He pulled back and removed his used condom from himself. "I'll be back," Eric told me.
I tried to bite the zip ties, but it didn't work. Eric came back with plates. He fed me as he fed himself. "Did you have a change of heart?" Eric asked me.
I remained still and silent as I swallowed my food.
Eric grabbed my cheeks, "Answer the question?"
"No," I whispered to him harshly.
Eric smashed my plate against the wall. He put his plate down gently on top of the TV. "I guess I will have to change your mind for you."
My eyes filled up with tears again. He grabbed the knife from his pants and came on top of me. Eric forced himself inside of me once more. He grazed my skin with the open blade. A tear fell from my eye with every thrust he made. He dug the blade against my skin. I winced and screamed. Eric cut my chest and stomach up. Some were deeper than others. "Stop!" I cried over and over again. Eric ran his hand down my body, getting his hand bloody. The touch of his hand, stung my cuts. Eric made me look at him as he lowered himself. He licked my cheek. "Love me yet?" Eric whispered.
I cried harder.
"Answer me!" Eric demanded as he dug the knife against my skin, making me hear a pop as my skin broke.
I looked at him. "I hate you," I whispered to him harshly.
"Wrong answer," Eric told me and dug his knife deeper as he thrust into me harder.
I screamed bloody murder. My eyes ran out of tears as I was slowly accepting my fate. My body felt numb. I couldn't fight him anymore. I began to feel lightheaded. The pain I was feeling was overwhelming. My eyes slowly shut as I felt Eric's hands tap my cheek.
I looked around and saw I was in Peter's house. Peter came over to me. He smiled as he removed my hair from my face. His touch was warm and peaceful. I sat up and hugged him tightly. Afraid that if I let go, I would loose him forever. His cologne filled my lungs. I missed his smell, his warmth, his strong arms around my body. I missed everything. "I miss you so much," I cried on Peter's shoulder.
Peter stroked my hair as he rubbed my back. "I miss you too Cas," Peter replied with a bright smile. He pulled back and wiped my tears away. "You're going to make me cry."
I apologized.
Peter shook his head and leaned closer to me, pressing his smooth lips against mine gently and passionately. Peter looked at me with his eyes tearing up, "Cassie, I'm so proud of you for hanging on this long, but I need you to know that its okay to let go. I hate seeing you in so much misery. Allow yourself to let go."
"I'm scared to Peter. I don't want you to forget me."
"I could never forget you. I love you."
"I love you too," I say with a shaky voice as I can feel tears behind my eyes.
"Let go," Peter kindly told me.
I nodded. I laid back down as Peter held my hand. A tear from Peter's eye fell onto my cheek as I closed my eyes.
I opened my tiresome, heavy eyes. I looked at my hand to feel Peter's hand still holding mine. I took a quick look around the room to see Eric out of the room. I looked down to see my naked body covered in dry blood from the cuts Eric gave me. I looked at the clock. 10:49pm. Did Eric leave? I wondered as I saw the lamp flicker on and off. The lamp blew out as I was left alone in the dark. Before I came into this hellhole, I was terrified of the dark, but now all I wanted to do was be left alone in the peaceful, warm blanket of black. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Let go, I remembered Peter say in my dream. I would give anything to have a dream with Peter comforting me, telling me that it was going to be alright, even when I knew very well it wasn't. As I was seconds away from a deep slumber, I heard the metal door open. It's just Eric, I told myself without opening my eyes. A blinding white light entered the room and aimed in my eyes. It gave me a small headache. "Oh my gosh," I heard someone say in shock.
Someone ran up to me. I looked up drained. "J-Jesse?" I call the man's name unsure if it was him.
"I'm here Cassie," Jesse told me as he cut by hands loose. "Is the chain off?" Jesse asked an officer.
I grabbed onto Jesse's jacket and pulled myself up as tears came to my eyes, "I-its Eric. H-he killed—"
"I know, it's alright," Jesse cut me off as my ankle was finally free.
"There is no sign of him," An officer told Jesse.
"Thats alright," Jesse said and wrapped me up in a blanket and picked me up. "Let's get out of here."
"U-under the mattress," I spoke in a whisper to Jesse.
Jesse looked at another officer as we went up the stairs, "Get her things."
Jesse put me in the front seat. I dug my face into the blanket that covered up my cold, bloody, bare body. "You're safe now," Jesse told me as he drove away from the old house.
My chest tightened as weight was lifted off my shoulder. I dug my face deeper into the blanket and softly wept. I'm free.

Cassie is finally out and in the care of police! Where could Eric be now that he is wanted where ever he goes?
