I’m glad I got there out of there alive.
Suddenly, I was all too aware that I was in this world by myself, doing what I needed to independently. I was speeding along the highway once more with only the lights overhead flashing through the sunroof.
The only companionship that I found was with the stereo. The sound quality was alright, but it was nowhere near the standard that I used to.
It was not the sound that caused me to let my emotions go.
It was the song that was timed to start as soon as I pressed the knob. The knob sparked electricity that triggered a radio wave receiver.
It was our song.
