They let him go home after twelve hours.

Well more like after strong worded advice from me with a little backing from Richards and compliance from Demilade.

For some reason I knew he didn't feel comfortable being in the hospital. He didn't have to say it in so many words, but I felt his unease every time a nurse came in to fuss over him.

The tension seemed to seep into his bones and make him curl into a cat. But the only physical evidence was how white his knuckles turned from him straining them and the tic in his jaw.

I tried to rack my brain for similar signs of these from his days back in the hospital but I couldn't find any.

But then again I was never really by his side when he was awake.

So when they bandaged him up and got him stable enough to walk, I answered his silent plea and fought for his return home.
