A Man's Point Of View

Maigi kong sinuri ang isang umiikot na model replica ng isang unit saaking hologram table mula harapan.

Its raven-black steel body and golden crystalloid wings gives it a distinguishing elegance yet a dangerous sense. I just found myself smirking in front of it.

"Any comments?"

I rolled my eyes through the sides as my attention was then called by a lovely woman with a long silky black hair over the hologram transmission screen. Napangiti ako as I rest my cheeks on my clenched fist.

"Job well done. Just as I expected from an ex- head engineer. You're skills are improving and maturing. Mukhang pati yang boses mo ay nag matured na." I said as I sat lean back towards my chair.

"Are you aware of the latest incident on the Prison Settlement?" He then looked at me seriously as I found myself smirking out of excitement.

"Yes, and I'm very much well informed." I said confidently.

"You mean, those two young lads? The fact that all possible contacts with them had been forcefully terminated convinced me that they had executed the plan well. Xavierheld did find them."

"And I know, they will be in good hands, soon. Maris will take good care of them, for sure. Just like what I did on the Obsidian King's queen 2 years ago."

Napangiti ako as I stared back through the hologram image of the black robot unit.

"Keep them trusting you, Froilance. Nalalapit na ang muling pag upo niya sa trono, and we couldn't afford to let the Silver Emperor sit up there, where in fact, hindi naman sakanya ang tronong iyon."

A Lady's Point Of View

"It.. It was a failed attempt." I shook my head as I fell down on my knees to give respect on a man sitting in front of a blazing fire place.

The light of the flames then illuminated the whole place as crystal glass chess pieces then reflected its warming light.

"I..I am ready for any sanctions to be given." I heavily said as I heard him stood up. Napapikit ako as I felt his presence in front of me.

"It was never a failed attempt. It was never a mistake. You moved us one step closer. You did very well.."

Napatingala ako out of astonishment upon hearing his kind and gentle voice say those words. He then looked at me, smiling with such grace and tranquility.

I was then comforted by his majestic calm purple eyes.

"Thank you, my Lord."

I calmly said as I carefully grabbed the ends of his moss green scarf. The insignia of his betrayal.

Napapikit ako as I gently kissed it showing my sign of appreciation to his great pardon.

I maintained my stance as a faint shining light from his left hand caught my sight. From his left hand, he was holding tight a crystal Ebony chess piece.

It was a Black Queen chess piece.

I rolled my eyes on the far right. The light from the flames then illuminated some shattered ebony crystal chess piece throughout the marble floor.

I secretly focused my sight towards that thing.

It was a shattered Black King chess piece.
