CHAPTER TWENTY

Kaesha's POV

All of us turned to look at Damien when we heard him spoke, and right now, I don't know what to feel. . .

Damien is known for his authority since he's our President and without this, we know that no one would really follow his orders especially since some of our ex-classmates showed those actions. They wouldn't follow someone who wouldn't inflict fear into their beings and believe it or not but it's true.

But now that it feels as if he's about to share something deep, for the first time, I don't know but it feels as if my respect for him just intensifies.

Can we normalize male speaking out for their feelings? Even it's for drama or such?

"Alam niyo ba kung paano ko nahanap si Dannah?" He asked everyone as before he looked at us one by one. Umiling ako dahil ayokong magsalita, ngunit sumagot rin naman and iba ng kani-kanilang hula para dito.

"Nagkita kayo syempre,"

"Nagkabungguan"

"Hinanap mo sya,"

"Niligtas mo,"

I wanted to palm my face from hearing their answers, but when I looked at them and saw how they're trying to smile despite their 'just-cried' face, I realized that they're doing it to lighten up our mood since it's really dark, and Damien also noticed it that's why he smiled at their answer.

Umiling-iling si Damien, nangingiti, bago muling nagsalita.

"Dinala siya ni Paulo sa akin." Who's Paulo?

My eyes transferred at Dannah who's lowering her head yet I could see some tears falling from her eyes as if she remember those unfortunate memories again.

As I sighed heavily. How much heavy memories do these people have of this outbreak that only happened yesterday? Or I'm not really sure when did it started, but I know it's only the start of everything and we must prepare ourselves for the next ones.

Damien continued his explanations.

"Paulo was my best friend. We are the best buddy. He was my strength, he knows the emotions that lie underneath this unexpressive face of mine. Siya yung takbuhan ko kapag may problema ako at pareho kami ng taste sa lahat ng bagay." Natawa siya, isang mapaklang tawa bago nag angat ng tingin sa amin.

At tumama ang kanyang tingin sa isang tao sa aking tabi, "At pareho din kami ng babaeng minamahal." Suddenly, I shivered when I heard those words that he just spoke. As I looked at Farrah with her eyes as wide at shock from what she just heard from Damien.

Even I was shocked. . . because I am really clueless with this!

Katahimikan ang namayani sa paligid, hanggang sa nagsalita ulit si Damien at doon, nabuking ang lahat.

"Paulo was in love with Farrah. Her cheerful attitude attracts him, as he always said to me that they're like moon and sun. Farrah is the sun to illuminate her surrounding as he's the moon that only surrounded by dark energies. Sinabi pa nga niya na gusto daw niyang ligawan si Farrah, kaya lang nahihiya daw siya." Sabi ni Damien habang nahihiyang napasulyap kay Farrah.

Sumabat si Blake na gusto kong batukan. "Eh 'di ba mahal mo din si Farrah? You said─" He couldn't finish what he was asking. Binatukan kasi ito ni Shan na kanyang katabi at ngayon ay kitang kita ang pag angal sa mukha nito ngunit pinanlakihan lamang ito ng mata ni Shan at para bang sinasabi na makiramdam nga sya sa paligid.

Sana nga, Blake! Makiramdam ka please!

But Damien still answered his question after his low chuckle, "Yes, I was," Those words seemed as if whisper only.
