Chapter 35

"Let's party!" biglang sigaw ni Rafa.

"'Oy lovebirds, mamaya na ang lambingan. Kailangan magcelebrate tayo. Finally nagkatuluyan din kayong dalawa," ang sabi naman ni Don.

"Dude, kuha na tayo ng maraming beer. We have to drink to this," Archie said. "Kailangan kong magpakalasing. Tangina, ako na lang ang single sa barkada!"

Nagtawanan kaming lahat dahil dito. Nagsimula nang maglakad pabalik sa sala si Farah at Dawn. Kumawala naman sa akin si Ailee at sumunod sa mga babae but I was able to catch her wrist and pull her to me. Inakbayan ko s'ya then we both started walking. She looked at me with a smile but I can tell that she's blushing. She's so cute!

Dawn turned up the volume of the iPod dock. She and Farah started dancing while the other guys placed the beer cans on the center table. Nagbukas agad si Archie ng isang beer at ininom ito. Farah pulled Rafa to the 'dance floor'. He danced with his girlfriend. Dawn and Don did the same.

"C'mon Iggy, isayaw mo 'yang girlfriend mo. Para sa inyo ang party'ng ito," ang sabi ni Dawn.

Pinakinggan ko muna ang music. Humiwalay ako sa kanya at hinarap s'ya. I took both her hands and when the part I was waiting for came, I sang with it, "This woman is my destiny..." I twirled her one time.

Nang magkaharap na ulit kami, si Ailee naman ang kumanta, "Shut up and dance with me."

And so I did. We danced until both of us couldn't dance anymore.

Dumaan pa ang two weeks bago kami nakauwi sa Batangas to formally inform my family na girlfriend ko na si Ailee. I told Nanay that I was bringing Ailee along but I didn't tell her anything more. She said she's excited to see her again. Ako rin excited for them to meet my girlfriend. (I wish I can show you now how big my smile is.)

"S, kinakabahan ako," she said as I parked my car in front of our door.

"Ngayon ka pa ba kakabahan. Why are you nervous?"

"I dunno. Siguro dahil girlfriend mo na ako at may karapatan na silang estimahin ako."

"Ha? What are you talking about? You know my family loves you."

She took deep breathes. "Tara na. Let's get this over with."

Nauna akong bumaba ng kotse and then I opened the door for her. Dahan-dahan s'yang bumaba, halatang-halatang kinakabahan s'ya. And as usual she looks so cute.

"Ateeeee!" ang sigaw ni Den habang tumatakbo papunta sa amin. Ibang klase talaga itong kapatid kong ito. Naamoy 'ata kapag nasa malapit lang sa kanya si Ailee eh.
