Chapter 4

Ilang araw din akong nabagabag nung babaeng 'yon. Gusto ko s'yang balikan... gusto ko s'yang abangan dun sa labas ng building nila kaya lang baka magmukha naman akong tanga. Minsan nga I find myself looking around Coop whenever I'm there. There was even one time that I thought about staying there and waiting for her. Pero kahit na gustong-gusto kong malaman kung s'ya nga 'yon, alam ko rin na it's against the rules kaya pinilit kong kalimutan na lang. And besides, kung magkita man kami ulit, tatanungin ko ba kung s'ya ba si Cleo? Hindi naman kaya magmukha akong stalker if I ask her about it?

In the following days, I noticed how much I looked forward to English class, especially on days when I know I will be getting the journal back. Kahit si Rafa ay napansin din ito kaya madalas ay tinutukso n'ya ako. Minsan nga gusto n'yang basahin ang entries namin para daw malaman n'ya kung bakit gustong-gusto ko ito. S'ya naman daw kasi ay hindi naman masyadong masaya ang experience sa journal writing activity na ito. Of course, I didn't let him see. I won't let him. Not in this lifetime.

Do you like reading? I do. I'm a sucker for books by Meg Cabot, Nora Roberts, Jude Deveraux, Danielle Steel, Nicholas Sparks, and the list could go on and on. Do you know them? Anyway, I just want to run by you something that I read. See what you think about it? I read somewhere that we are all connected to each other. Like we exist in each other's lives because there is something linking us. So it got me thinking. Since we are partners in this journal thing, do you think there is a connection between us? Do you think we know someone from each other's lives – maybe we have a common friend or maybe our parents know each other?

Lately she's been signing her fake name with a heart, which I find kinda cute. Hindi ko alam kung nagkakagusto na ba ako sa kanya o nababakla na ako.

Now you're talking Martian. I don't know a single one in your list of names. Even if you go on and on with that list, I don't think it'd matter. But maybe if you included the author of the Harry Potter series, I'd have something to say yes to. Is she included? Hahaha!

And about that link thing... if it was true, I'd love to find out what our link is. If it wasn't against the rules, I'd say it would be nice to find out now. So yeah, maybe in the future we'll know. If we really are connected then maybe we'll see/meet each other in the future. So see you then!

Dear JC,

I'm sorry but I can't write a long one this time. I have a sort of date and I need to start getting ready in a few minutes. Gosh, date! I haven't been on one for a long time. And the funny thing is I'm feeling nervous for a date with him and some of our friends. He'll come pick me up but we'll be meeting up with our friends at this bar. So I guess this is technically called a group date.
