Nicole has been my best friend ever since we were kids.

I developed feelings for her and realized I was lesbian in college.

Everyone thinks I like Dante because I look at him.

Well, no, I don't look at him, I look at Nicole.

Everyone thinks I look at Dante.

Oh well.

That idiot doesn't deserve Nicole.

There was a dance at the town hall so we all decided to go.

I didn't want to go, but Nicole forced me.

Everyone except I had a date.

Ugh.

Now here I was, spying on Dante and Nicole from behind the food stand.

Dante was staring at..... me?

I tried to eavesdrop.

"I'm glad I could come here with you, Dante." Nicole smiled.

Dante turned around.

"Hmm? Same." Dante said emotionlessly.

"Dante... Y-You like Katelyn..." Nicole stuttered.

"Huh? What makes you think that?!" Dante asked shocked.

"You always look at her when you're with me...." Nicole said sadly.

"Ugh, of course I like her. Do you think I'd go out with a girl like you?" Dante said sternly.

I scowled.

Nicole had tears forming.

"I only used you because you were her best friend." Dante stated.

Nicole started to cry and I was about to snap.

"I-I see... D-Don't break her heart, okay?" Nicole started crying hard and ran off to the balcony.

I ran to Dante.

"What did you do to Nicole?!" I growled at him.

"Katelyn, she knew about us." Dante said.

"What are you talking about? Why would I date a jerk like you?" I yelled.

I punched him and ran off to the balcony.

I saw Nicole crying at the ledge.

I walked behind her.

"Nicole...He's not worth it." I said.

She turned around with tears drowning her eyes.

"Katelyn, why couldn't you just tell me...?" Nicole cried.

"I know you like him."

"And he likes you too."

.....

"You're wrong." I stated.

"When am I wrong about?!" She yelled.

"Do you know how hard it was seeing someone you love fall in love with someone else?!" She yelled.

"Of course I do." I said.

She stared at me confused.

"Because you're the one I'm in love with."

I ran up to her and kissed her.
