You were a famous dancer so why Roderick Peterson had asked you to dance as part of their singing act was unknown to you. You and him were sort of friends, you had talked a few times.

"Roderick, why do you have a baby?" You asked.
"It is part of the act," he answered.
"Part of the... Roderick, really? It's a singing competition,"
"The sentiment appeals to the judges," he said, looking down at the baby. It was a strange sight, the normally cold man was holding a baby. Even though it was an unusual scene, you couldn't help but smile.

"That's our baby!" A man walked in.
"And we're taking our baby back," he said childishly. The first man who spoke was behind the childish one, he looked exactly like Roderick.
"Roderick, what's going on?" You asked.
"My darling brother and the idiot who gave me the baby now want it back," You looked at Roderick, he looked sweet with a baby, despite the reality of him being a cold and unemotional man.

"Just give the baby back, it's not yours,"
"Boys," Roderick ordered. "Push them into the globe,"
"Roderick, what the...?" you started, you trailed off, remembering there was young children around. Roderick handed the baby to one of his students. The other students pushed the younger children, the teaching assistant and Roderick's twin into the snow globe.

"We didn't win," Roderick paced up and down, in a line.
"Roderick-"
"(Y/n), I needed to win this, to prove that I am better than everyone else!" Roderick exclaimed.
"Maybe you don't need to prove that you're good by winning everything, life isn't like that, you have to lose sometimes," You told him.
"But you don't understand, (Y/n)-"

You cut him off. You don't know what made you do it but you enjoyed it for some strange reason. Roderick froze up and tensed. You had kissed him. At least you got him to shut up.

"I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have," You said, embarrassed of what you did. You looked at the floor, waiting for Roderick to shouted or say something mean or rude. But, it never came. He instead lifted your chin up so you were looking at him.
"No, it's fine." What he said shocked you. You didn't expect him to reply like that, you expected him to walk away or something.
"What?" you asked in disbelief.
"I said, it's fine," he said gently. "It gave me a... strange... feeling of warmth."

It was rare to see him like this, ever. His usual indifferent demeanour had faded, letting you see his soft side not even his students have seen.
"Me too, Roderick, me too," You rested your head on his chest and he didn't tense up, he actually put his hands around you. This day wasn't so bad after all.
