You call my name
like I'm something special
speaking sugar sweet
words of affection
that should fill my heart
with joy and love
but my stare is blank
and your smile falters
this is too new
too much too soon
I clutch at my throat
unable to breathe
watching as you bleed
your love for me
and I say your name
with a gasp for air
as water fills my lungs
you crumple with despair
and I drown in you
what have we got left to lose?
