Sometimes I wonder

what it would feel like

to love someone

romantically

How do you know

when you're

in love?

You care about them?

Put them before yourself?

Take a bullet for them?

I feel this for

everyone

but feel nothing

towards anyone

I will take a bullet

for a stranger

even if that scares my mom

I will care for others

before myself

always

because I do not care

for myself

But this is not

love

What is love?

and how do you know

when you feel it

how do you feel it?

Sometimes I wonder

what it would feel like

to love someone

and then I wake up

alone

in the cold sheets

of my empty bed

and I love my bed

more than myself

too
