We were all walking back to mine and Paige's house from the movies.
Everyone was making small talk except for me. I kept unnoticably looking behind us at a maroon car that had been following us since we left the movie house.
"Hey Kath, somethin' wrong?" Two-Bit asked.
"That maroon car behind us has been following us since we left the movies," I replied scared.
Darry looked back at the car and it stopped.
"Darry! Don't look at it! It could be Mason!" I half screamed and half whispered.
"Kathy you need to stop worrying so much. I'm sure its not him I mean he should've been in Tulsa already if he was really comin'," Steve said trying to make me stay calm.
I just nodded as we neared my house.
"See nothing' to worry about," Two-Bit said smiling.
But he spoke a bit too soon. "I wouldn't be so sure about that kid," I heard a familiar voice call. We all turned around to face the Mason Mitchell. "Thanks so much for helping me find where this bitch lives, it was very helpful. Now I can finish the job whenever I want," he said before driving away.
"I TOLD YOU SO!" I screamed running into the house crying.
"Kath, what's wrong? dad asked as I collapsed in front of the stairs.
"M-mason found me."
"Uh-oh," he said as everyone ran into the house.
