I couldn't believe it. I mean, I could believe Leila being behind this huge mess, but I couldn't believe that because of just one person, my boyfriend and I have to hide in the woods like refugees. Well, I was tired of it. Yes, it had only been one night in these confounded woods, but it had been far too long without seeing my family. I was becoming beyond homesick. And I know Baylor said he could care less about lacrosse, but I know he doesn't really mean that. Lacrosse is his favorite sport, even above football. It's where his scholarship is coming from. He needed to play this season and I wasn't going to be the thing that got in his way of succeeding.

I had had enough of being treated like this. I was going home and I was going home now.
