Dan Howell

Now I recall why I liked to hang out with Phil so much. I am tempted to talk to him about what recent animes he has been watching but I don't really want to fall back into that kind of friendship with anyone. Especially with Phil. I am not the same person as I was before and despite of my kind of similar taste in activities, I have developed a new personality. I am not really fond of it, but it works for the kind of people I am around.

"Where are you going?" I ask him as he walks towards the bus station.

"Aren't we taking the bus to go into town?" He asks me, squinting his eyes slightly because the sun decided to show up today. It is a good day today really, slight wind rustling and just enough sunlight to keep one warm.

"I thought we could just walk?" I suggest and he shrugs, nodding.

"I don't mind," he smiles and I return the gesture as we walk down the pavement. A lot of people have decided to come out today, given the whether and the pavement is slightly crowded.

"Watch your step," I wrap my arm around Phil's waist and pull him to my side, preventing him to step on a large puddle of water.

"Thanks," he squeaks, and I notice that my arm is still around him so I quickly retreat it. Oh god, what the hell is happening today? I should try and make a conversation to break some tension.

"So, you and PJ huh?" What a great topic you have chosen Dan. Well done.

"What?" He looks up at me confused. His eyes are shining under the sunlight and his blue sweatshirt makes his eyes look bluer than usual. Does that make any sense?

"You and PJ? You're a, a thing right?" I awkwardly scratch my head and he rolls his eyes at me. I have to admit he looked kind of hot doing that, but I won't tell him that. Or maybe I will.

"What no! Obviously not, PJ is as straight as a stick." Phil states. I notice he doesn't say anything about himself. I don't want to make this awkward, so I don't ask him. But I really want to know. Fuck that I am asking him.

"What about you?" I ask and he tilts his head in confusion.

"What about me?" He asks, and I watch his eyes taking in the surroundings, probably searching for a place to dine in.

"Are you straight?" I ask him and he actually chokes on air. Like literally chokes on air, and begins coughing like a maniac.

"Jesus christ, Phil. You alright?" I rub his back and he nods gaining his composure back.

"Uhm, yeah. Yeah I'm straight." He says and something about his tone tells me that he is not being honest.
