John escorted me back up the ramp. I held onto his arm tightly, trying to show how appreciative I was to have him out there with me. When we got to the top of the ramp, he dipped me again and kissed me hard…for the crowd.

I didn’t want the kiss to end. I held onto his arm even harder as we passed through the curtain, and I could feel him trying to pull away from me.

Finally we stopped and he looked down at me. “Will you please let go of my arm?”

I smirked at him. “I’m not letting go until you at least talk to me.”

He sighed. “Gem, I don’t want to talk about this. I just can’t talk about this right now.” He paused for a few seconds as he looked away. I loosened my grip on his arm.

“John, all I’m asking for is a chance.” He continued to look away, and I finally tugged on his arm some. “Please John?”

I couldn’t tell what he was thinking, but a half-smile finally crossed his face, making a smile come across mine. “Alright Gem. I’ll um…. How about….” He sighed loudly as I finally let his arm go. “Look, I’ll just…give you a call later. Maybe we can meet up at the hotel or something.”

“That’s all I’m asking for John. Thank you.”

He nodded and he finally walked away down the small tunnel. As he walked away, AJ Lee walked through the curtain and past me. My thoughts were jumbled, but I followed her down the hallway. I followed her all the way to the women’s locker room. I wasn’t trailing her, but I was a casual distance behind her.

I showered and got dressed, and then proceeded to hang my bags over my shoulders. I slumped out of the locker room, being followed by a familiar vibe.

“Gem why are you leaving so early?” Melina strode up next to me and she flung her arm over my free shoulder.

I sighed. “I really don’t wanna be here anymore.”

“You’re having boy issues.” She smiled at me and I could only scoff in her direction.

“That is so not true!”

“Gem, I’ve known you for years. I know the differences between your problems. The way you’re acting right now, is in fact, a result from a boy problem. Now who’s the lucky man to cause your pain this time?”

I scoffed again. “That’s not even close to funny.”

Finally she stopped me and pushed me down onto a bench in the hallway. “Gem talk, now. I’m not letting you leave until you do.”

I sighed again. “Alright, alright. It’s John.”

She stood there with her arms folded as she waited for me to say more. Finally, impatiently, she rolled her eyes. “Well, what about him?”

“He just…won’t talk to me since he found out that Randy is Alex’s dad. He said he’ll give me a call later, but I don’t feel like that’ll happen.”

Melina grabbed my free arm and pulled me up from the bench. She dragged me down the hallway to the concourse area.

“Melina will you stop that?! Let go of me!”

With the arm not dragging mine, she punched me in the shoulder. “You shut up and obey me right now.”

I did. I let her drag me down another hallway, one which I wasn’t entirely familiar with. Finally we arrived at a door with a large M-E-N on gold letters. She wasn’t….

Melina knocked loudly on the door.

“Melina what are you doing?”

“Shut up Gem.” She pounded harder. Finally the door opened and Triple H stood in the doorway. In the back of the room, there was a large mirror. I could see Cody Rhodes combing his ugly mustache. I smiled to myself.

“Uh, what can I help you with?” Hunter leaned against the doorway, trying to shield our views from the rest of the locker room.

Melina smiled at him. “Is Cena in there?”

Hunter turned back and looked around. “Uh, I think I saw him come in a little while ago. He might be in the shower or something.”

Melina folded her arms. “Could you possibly check on that for us? It’s kinda important.”

Hunter scoffed slightly as he hesitated to nod. Finally he turned around and shut the door, going deep into the men’s locker room.

Mel looked back at me. “Trust me Gem, you’re gonna thank me for this later when you and John plan a date or something like that.”

I rolled my eyes and the door opened again. It wasn’t Hunter this time, it was John…and he was wearing nothing but a towel.

I couldn’t help but scan him over and over again. And each time in my mind, the towel was removed.

After a few awkward seconds of silence, John finally spoke. “So, you wanted to see me?”

Melina perked up. “Yes, GEM…wanted to see you.”

My face went red, and I could feel the heat radiating off of my cheeks.

John stared at me. “I thought we were gonna talk later?”

I shook my head, but then changed my mind and nodded.

A half-smile came across his face. “Is that a ‘yes we’re still talking later’ or a ‘no I don’t want to’?”

“It’s a…I don’t know.” I smacked my forehead and turned around. A took a few steps forwards so I was a few more feet away from a sexy looking John in a towel. Why was I so out of words? Was it because John looked so sexy right now that I just wanted to pounce on him? Or was it because I didn’t want to lose even the slightest bit of him?

“Gem…do you want to talk or not?” His half-smile never faded.

I turned back around to face him and I nodded. “But Talking is a minimal John. For what I want.”

His face was confused. “What do you mean?”

I shrugged. What did I mean? “I guess, I just want more than just talking.”

He looked at me as the confusion went away. But what replaced it wasn’t much better. A frown appeared and he looked down. “Gem, this isn’t—”

Melina put her hand up to stop him and he did. “John, you and Gem can talk more about this later okay? I’m gonna make a reservation for you two somewhere downtown. Got it?”

She looked at me and I nodded. Then she looked at John. He hesitated, but then also nodded. He looked back at me. “I guess we will talk more about this later.”

I nodded and half-smiled at him. “I can’t wait.”

He smiled back at me. “Neither can I. But um, if you don’t mind, I really need to go now….” He looked down at his towel and so did I. As my face heated up I couldn’t help but smile.

“I don’t mind at all,” I said sarcastically. He smiled as he shook his head and headed back into the locker room.

Melina stared at me as I stood there smiling like an idiot.

“Gem you can quit smiling now, he’s gone.”

I looked over at her. My smile never faded. “Thanks Mel. I really do owe you one.”

“I know.” She walked in front of me and walked back down the hallway. I dragged my bags back to the concourse to try and find my son and his father.
